Male Arrest on Warrant 40-year-old Alain Chartrand of 352 Cathcart Street was arrested on the 24th of August 2010 at 11:01 p.m.on Queen Street East for an outstanding warrant for breach of probation.

40-year-old Alain Chartrand of 352 Cathcart Street was arrested on the 24th of August 2010 at 11:01 p.m.on Queen Street East for an outstanding warrant for breach of probation. He was released with a court date of the 13th of September 2010.

Shoplifter
49-year-old Kathleen Henderson of 762 Wellington Street East was arrested on the 24th of August 2010 at 1:05 p.m. at Zellers in the Station Mall and charged with one count of theft. It is alleged that the accused concealed several items in her backpack including a bottle of Listerine, vitamin cream and clothing prior to being arrested by store security and held for police. The accused will be attending court on the 27th of September 2010.

Break and Enters
There was an attempt break and enter to a residence in the 100 block of Albert Street East and also an attempt break and enter to a garage on Megginson Drive.

Theft From Vehicles
Vehicles were entered on Queensgate Boulevard, Par Avenue, the 1000 block of Wellington Street East, the 400 block of Shannon Road, Heath Road, and in the 300 and 600 block of Queen Street East. The two vehicles on Queen Street East had windows smashed and a purse was taken in each instance. Reported stolen in the other thefts include a briefcase, GPS units, and a blue tooth device.

Motor Vehicle Collision
A 16-year-old male youth was issued a provincial offence act summons under the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario for driving without a license following a motor vehicle collision with a pedestrian. It is alleged that on the 24th of August 2010 at 9:52 p.m. the accused was operating a pickup truck on Pentagon Boulevard while unlicensed. The accused struck a 17-year-old male youth who had been skateboarding on the roadway. Injuries to the pedestrian were minimal. Police were called to investigate the incident and charged the accused accordingly.
