Four persons to appear in bail court Yesterday morning members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested three persons in connection to a robbery.
Four persons to appear in bail court

Yesterday morning members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested three persons in connection to a robbery. It is alleged that at approximately 8:45 am two males, one carrying a knife, entered the Rexall Pharmacy on East St. and demanded drugs from the employees. The suspects obtained a quantity of drugs and fled. A short time later officers attended at a nearby housing complex and arrested two men and one woman. It is further alleged that officers located drugs that were obtained in the robbery, as well as a knife. The three accused are:

1. Grant Mullen, age 52, of 138 East St apt # 306 is charged with one count of robbery, one count of wearing a disguise and three counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.

2. Jamey Wilson, age 30, of 138 East St apt # 306 is charged with one count of robbery, one count of wearing a disguise and three counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.

3. Loretta Carey, age 30, of 221 Albert St. E is charge with one count of accessory after the fact (to robbery), three counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and one count of possession of property obtained by crime.
The employees were not injured in the robbery.

Male arrested for possession of property obtained by crime

Yesterday evening members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 38-year –old male for possession of property obtained by crime. It is alleged that the accused stole a recoding device from the victim and subsequently pawned the item at a local pawn shop. Luke Leblanc, age 38, of 253 Lake St. is charged with one count of possession of property obtained by crime. Mr. Leblanc is to appear in court on September 26th at 9:00 am.

Female arrested for theft under $5,000

Yesterday evening members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 32-year–old female for theft under $5,000. It is alleged that the accused stole a pair of shoes from the Zellers Store in the Station Mall. The accused was apprehended by store security and turned over to police. Bobbie-Jean Wilson, age 32, of 344 Wellington St. E is charged with one count of theft under $5,000. Ms Wilson is to appear in court on October 3rd at 9:00 am

Impaired charge laid

Yesterday evening members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 48-year–old male for impaired driving. It is alleged that the accused was operating a motor vehicle on Tancred St. while his ability to do so was impaired by alcohol. It is further alleged that at the time of this offence the accused was on an undertaking release as well as a on a recognizance release order. The conditions of these release orders were to keep the peace and be good and to abstain from alcohol. Richard Bell, age 48, of 760 Second Line W. is charged with one count of impaired driving, one count of drive over 80 mgs, one count of breach of an undertaking and one count of breach of a recognizance.

Theft

A dirt bike and a child’s 4 wheel ATV were stolen from a residence in the 100 block of River Rd.
