Two young persons will be appearing in bail court today. 1. A 17-year-old male was arrested by the Sault Ste Marie Police Service yesterday morning at a downtown location.
Two young persons will be appearing in bail court today.

1. A 17-year-old male was arrested by the Sault Ste Marie Police Service yesterday morning at a downtown location. The youth is charged with one count of assault with a weapon causing bodily harm, one count of possession of a weapon dangerous and one count of breach of probation. It is alleged that on August 11th the accused used a wooden stake on another young person. At the time of this offence the accused was on a probation order release to keep the peace. The victim in this incident was taken to hospital and treated.

2. A 15-year-old male was arrested yesterday evening at a centrally located address and charged with one count of sexual interference, one count of invitation to sexual touching, one count of incest, one count of anal intercourse, one count of sexual assault and one count of fabricating evidence. It is alleged that the accused committed these offence on or about August 11th, 2007 with another family member.

Female Charged with Assault Causing Bodily Harm

Yesterday afternoon at approx. 1:55 pm officers from the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested 23-year-old female. The accused female is charged with one count of assault and one count of assault causing bodily harm. It is alleged that on August 20th the accused person attended at the address of her ex-boyfriend. The victim was present at the address at this time. The accused became upset and began to assault the victim. The assaults consisted of the accused grabbing the victim by the hair, pulling her to the ground and then kicking her in the head and side of the face. The accused also assaulted her ex-boyfriend. The female victim attended the Sault Area Hospital and was treated for her injuries. The accused will be appearing in court on Sept. 26th.

City police investigated one attempted break and enter and one mischief overnight.

The attempted break-in occurred to a laundry room at an apartment complex in the 600 block of MacDonald Ave. A door and windows were damaged during the attempt. Vandals damaged a vehicle parked in the 100 block of King St.
