Persons to appear in bail court Last night members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 43-year-old female on warrants. It is alleged that the accused failed to appear for court on August 8th, 2011.

Last night members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 43-year-old female on warrants. It is alleged that the accused failed to appear for court on August 8th, 2011. It is further alleged that at the time of this offence the accused was on probation. Tammy Moore, age 43, of 168 Andrew St is charged with one count of failing to appear for court and two counts of breach of probation.

Last night members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 40-year-old male and a 31-year-old female for assault. It is alleged that the two accused, husband and wife, were involved in a dispute where both parties assaulted one another. The male is charged with one count of assault and will be attending bail court this morning. The female is also charged with one count of assault and is to appear in court on September 21st at 9:30 am. Neither person reported any injuries.

Youth arrested for robbery
Yesterday afternoon members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 12-year-old youth for robbery. It is alleged that the accused attended at a west end confectionary store and while wearing a disguise and holding onto a knife attempted to rob the lone clerk of money.

It is further alleged that when the clerk refused to turn over any money the suspect fled the store with two bags of potato chips. Police located the accused a short time later.

The youth is charged with one count of robbery and one count of wearing a disguise while committing an offence. The youth is to appear in court on September 20th at 9:30 am.

Male arrested for assault
Early this morning members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 24-year-old male for assault. It is alleged that the accused was involved in an argument with a family member and assaulted that person. The victim, a male, suffered minor injuries. The accused is charged with one count of assault. The accused is to appear in court on September 26th at 9:00 am.

Robbery
Early this morning a male was robbed of a guitar while on St. George’s Ave. In the incident the victim attended in the in the 200 block of St. George’s Ave to sell a guitar to a person known to him. When the two persons met the accused sprayed the victim with pepper spray and stole the guitar. The victim did not attend for medical assistance as a result of being sprayed.

Break and enter
The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service investigated two break and enters yesterday.

A break-in was reported to a business in the 800 block of Great Northern Rd. Cash was reported stolen.

A residence in the 200 block of Church St. was entered- electronics were reported stolen.

Mischief
Vehicles were reported damaged in the 500 block of Albert St. E, the 100 block of Summer Court and the 100 block of McFadden Ave.

Theft
A wallet was stolen from an office in the 800 block of Great Northern Rd.

Vehicles were entered in the 700 block of Wellington St. E, the 100 block of Foster Dr, and the 100 block of Elmwood Ave. Cash, CDs, camping equipment and electronics were stolen.

A large quantity of copper wire was stolen from a business in the 600 block of Great Northern Rd.
