Male Youth Arrested for Threatening to Kill Parents

A 15 year-old male youth was arrested on the 12th of August at 10:30 am at a centrally located residence and charged with one count of threaten death or bodily harm, one count of counsel an indictable offence - offence not committed and two counts of breach of probation. It is alleged that on the 2nd of August the youth got into a verbal argument with his father and made threats that he would stab him.
It is further alleged that on the 7th of August the accused asked a male known to him to kill his parents for him.
At the time of the offences the accused was on probation to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.
The youth is to appear in bail court this morning.

Domestic Related Arrest

A 32 year-old male was arrested on the 12th of August at 6:05 am and charged with one count of theft under $5,000.00. It is alleged that on the 1st of August the accused got into a verbal argument with his girlfriend at her residence and when leaving he stole her vehicle. The vehicle was later recovered. He is to appear in court on the 17th of September.

Female Arrested For Shoplifting

27 year-old Amy-Lou Jacko of 553 Shannon Road was arrested on the 1st of August at 3 pm at Rome’s Independent Grocer and charged with one count of theft under $5,000.00. It is alleged that on the 12th of August at approximately 2:30 pm the accused attended at Rome’s and stole several some DVD’S.
She was apprehended by store security and held for police. She is to attend in court on the 15th of September.

Two female Youths Arrested for Attempting to Break into Trailer

Two 15 year-old female youths were arrested at 1:10 am on the 13th of August after entering the property of a residence in the 100 block of Goulais Avenue attempting to break into a travel trailer located on the property. The youths were chased away and followed by one of the homeowners until police arrived and apprehended them. One female was charged with one count of trespassing at night and one count of breach of probation.

The second female was charged with trespassing at night, one count of breach of a release document, as at the time of the offence she was on an undertaking release condition not to consume any alcohol and had been found to be under the influence of alcohol at the time of her arrest. Officers further discovered that the accused was wanted on an outstanding warrant and was further charged with one count of for theft under $5,000.00.
They are both to appear in court on the 23rd of September.

Mischief Reports

• Wood and plastic construction barriers protecting the construction area at East View School on Arizona Avenue were damaged last evening around 8:40 pm after 4 male youths attempted to start it on fire. Some of the plastic and wood was burned. The complainant, a neighbour, put the fire out with their garden hose. The youths, aged 10-15 years old, were last seen running towards Cambridge place. This was the second report in two nights. Someone attempted to light the wood on fire in the same area the previous night.
• Three vehicles were damaged after being keyed in the parking lot of Petro Canada on Trunk Road some time overnight on the 12th of August.
• A vehicle parked at a residence on Borron Avenue was keyed sometime over this past weekend.

Theft Reports

• Vehicles were entered overnight on the 11th-12th of August in the 1300 and 1400 block of Queen Street East, Irwin Avenue, Arizona Avenue, Shannon Road, River Road and Lindstedt Ave. Items reported stolen were: a cell phone, a satellite radio, wallets, sunglasses, change, a DVD player.
• Bikes were stolen from Panoramic Drive and Dennis Street.
• Solar lights were stolen from residence properties on Peoples Road and Johnson Avenue
• Licence plates were stolen off a vehicle on Henrietta.
• A wallet was stolen out of a locker at a local business.

Break and Enter Reports

• An apartment on Wilding Avenue was entered sometime during the day on the 12th of August. Medication was reported stolen.

• A garage in the 200 block of Pim Street was entered sometime overnight on the 11th-12th of August.
