FAILED TO KEEP COURT DATE
Yesterday at 8:30 p.m., patrol officers checked the accused, James Evans, age 49 of 760 Wellington Street East #3 on Queen Street. A police record check revealed a warrant for Failing To Appear Court on the 17th day of February 2003.

Officers arrested and charged the accused with Failing to Attend in Court. He will appear in court on May 26th.


MULTIPLE CHARGES AGAINST 15-YEAR-OLD
Early today, at approximately 12:24 am, an intoxicated 15-year-old female of no fixed address stole a 1981 Chevrolet truck from 429 Wellington Street East striking the house as it reversed onto the street.

The vehicle backed out onto Wellington Street and continued reversing in a semi circle into the stairs of the residence next door at Civic # 431.

A 21-year-old male who was present at the scene apprehended the 15-year-old female driver before she could do further damage and police were called.

Patrol officers arrived at the scene at 12:30 pm and arrested and charged the female accused with Theft under $5,000.00, Possession of Stolen Property, Impaired Driving and Driving over .08.

A police record check revealed the accused was on a probation order to keep the peace. She was subsequently also charged with Breach of Probation. She was transported to the police station for breath tests. She will appear in bail court today.


BREAK & ENTERS
The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service investigated one break and enter in the past 24 hours. At 1:38 am this morning, patrol officers were called to the Highway Variety Store on Trunk Road where thieves smashed the front window.
