Three persons to appear in bail court
Yesterday evening members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 19-year-old male for assault. It is alleged that on April 26th the accused assaulted his ex-girlfriend by punching her in the head. The victim did not require medical attention. The accused is charged with one count of assault.

Early this morning members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 30-year-old male for breach of probation. It is alleged that the accused male attended at the residence of his ex-common-law wife while on probation orders to not communicate with her, not attend at her residence and not to molest or annoy her. The accused is charged with three counts of breach of probation.

At 3:55 am this morning members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 20-year-old male for break and enter and breach of probation. It is alleged that at approximately 3:05 am this morning the accused male broke into a residence in the 100 block of Cambridge Pl. A neighbour observed the incident and contacted the police. A subsequent search of the area resulted in the arrest of the accused. At the time of this offence the accused was on probation with conditions to keep the peace and be good. Jody Edwards, age 20 of 135 Cambridge Pl. Apt# 210 is charged with one count of break and enter and one count of breach of probation.

Male arrested for break and enter

Yesterday afternoon members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 53-year-old male for break and enter. It is alleged that the accused male attended at a residence in the 100 block of Granite St. broke into the residence and stole $ 270. The accused was located inside the residence by the home owners – who called police. [The accused}, age 53 is charged with one count of being unlawfully in a dwelling. [The accused] is to appear in court on May30th at 9:00 am.

Female arrested for using a stolen credit card
Yesterday afternoon members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 42-year-old female for using a stolen credit card. It is alleged that on March 15th and 16th the accused used a credit card that did not belong to her to obtained goods and services worth in excess of $1,366. The victim did not know the accused. Tammy Coccimiglio, age 42 of 91 Breton Rd. is charged with one count of unauthorized use of a credit card. Ms Coccimiglio is to appear in court on May 30th at 9:00 am.

Male arrested on a warrant
Yesterday afternoon members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 53-year-old male on a warrant. It is alleged that on November 4th 2010 the accused stole a quantity of copper wire from Essar Steel. At the time of the offence Mr. Jackson was working at Essar Steel on a service contract. Steven Jackson, age 53, of 260 Wellington St. W Apt # 3 is charged with one count of theft under $5,000. Mr. Jackson is to appear in court on May 30th at 9:00 am.

Break and enter
A residence in the 100 block of Northern Ave E. was entered. Money was stolen.

Mischief
A vehicle was damaged in the 600 block of Portage Lane.

Theft
Vehicles were entered in the 300 block of Pine Shore Dr, the 100 block Pointe Louise Dr. and the 200 block of John St. Cash and clothing were stolen.

A truck back rack was stolen from a vehicle parked in the 100 block of Black Rd.
