Four persons will be appearing in bail court this morning charged in relation to domestic dispute incidents.

Female Charged with Consuming Over the Legal Limit:

Terri Jo Ross, age 33, of 295 Korah Road (upstairs) was arrested last night and charged with one count of consume over the legal limit.  It is alleged that at approximately 8:40 pm officers observed a vehicle being operated at a high rate of speed on Trunk Road.  The vehicle was stopped and the driver was found to be under the influence of alcohol.  The accused failed the roadside screening device test and was subsequently arrested.  She will be appearing in court on the 28th of May.  

Female Charged with Assault:

Niki Marie Maione, age 31, of 580 Bush Street was arrested yesterday afternoon and charged with one count of assault.  It is alleged that on the 11th of March the accused assaulted a patient in her care at a local medical facility.  She is to appear in court on the 28th of May. 

Female Charged in Relation to Shoplifting Incident:

Solange Harkin, age 43, of 274 St. James Street was arrested yesterday afternoon and charged with one count of theft under $5,000.00.  It is alleged that the accused stole some items from Rome’s Independent Grocers on that date.  She is to appear in court on the 28th of May. 

Break and Enters/Theft Reports:

  • A residence on Glasgow Avenue was entered yesterday.  A 47 inch Sony flat screen television, a Sony Digital camera and a pellet pistol were stolen.
  • A garage on Norden Crescent was broken into sometime Monday overnight.  Several skinning knives were reported stolen. 
  • A business warehouse on Northland Crescent was entered sometime Monday overnight.  Nothing was reported stolen at the time.
