Update on Korah Road shooting and serious motor vehicle collision at Queen St. west near Hudson St.

An autopsy was performed on the driver of the 1996 GMC pick up truck that collided with the building situated at 89 Hudson St. Medical examiners have concluded that the driver of the motor vehicle died as a result of “self inflicted knife wounds. There were no significant injuries from the collision that contributed to his death”.

The investigation is on-going and should be concluded in the next couple of days.

Bail Court

1) On the 31 March 2009 at approx. 10:30 pm police were called to a residence on Gore St. by a female stating that a male unknown to her had just forced his way into her apartment. Police found the male trying to hide under some clothes. The accused was arrested for being unlawfully in a dwelling house, breach of probation and assaulting a police officer. The assault happened during the booking in process when the suspect kicked an officer, no injuries were reported. Elliot Michael Southwind aged 28 of 16 Terry Fox Place will appear in bail court this morning.

2) A 61 year old male was arrested on a warrant yesterday for threatening death. The warrant was issued in 2004 from an incident on the 14 September 2004 when it is alleged that he threatened to kill his ex-wife. The accused will appear in bail court this morning.

3) Steven Bradley Dunn age 40 of 345 St George’s Ave East, will appear in court on the 04 May 2009 charged with assault with a weapon and threatening death. It is alleged that he attended at the apartment of the victim in the same building and swung a golf club at him and threatened to kill. No injuries were reported.

Mischief

City Police received a complaint of mischief to a motor vehicle last night. The windshield of a car was smashed last evening while the car was parked on Terry Fox Place.
