VIDEO: Thieves rip ATM off wall at Echo Bay store

Early morning crime occurred at Dinelle’s Country Market on Feb. 22

Police hope to identify the people responsible for stealing an ATM from Dinelle’s Country Market Store in Echo Bay on the morning of Feb. 22.

At around 3 a.m., "the suspects entered the vestibule area of the store and after lengthy attempts, were able to forcefully remove an ATM that was attached to a wall," says a news release issued by Crime Stoppers. "The total sum of stolen cash is estimated to be $1,500 and property damage is estimated to be approximately $4,000."

They fled the scene in a dark-coloured pickup truck.
