Vehicle was recovered with significant damage, says Crime Stoppers

The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service is hoping to identify a suspect after a Kubota RTV was stolen from the City Landfill site on the evening of April 19.

A news release issued today by Crime Stoppers states that the Kubota was eventually recovered, but it had sustained "significant damage."

Crime Stoppers and the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service are requesting your assistance in identifying a suspect involved in an incident of break and enter and theft.

On April 19, 2021 at approximately 11 p.m., an unknown male suspect entered the City Landfill and stole a Kubota RTV that was parked outside.

The suspect drove the Kubota through the gates breaking the chains off and causing some damage. The suspect drove the Kubota down the power line until it got stuck. The Kubota was recovered with significant damage.
