VIDEO: Inside the frantic search for 11-year-old Ruby Kerr

Grade 6 student has been missing since Friday at 11 a.m.; SooToday reporter Alex Flood provides the latest updates on the exhaustive police effort to find her

Search-and-rescue officials continue to scour the wooded areas surrounding St. Kateri Outdoor Learning Centre for any trace of Ruby Kerr, an 11-year-old girl who vanished Friday morning.

As helicopters circle overhead, nearby residents are being asked to check their properties for potential clues. "Maybe Ruby was looking for somewhere to hunker down overnight," says Lincoln Louttit, a spokesman for the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service.

SooToday reporter Alex Flood was on the scene Friday night and will continue to cover the breaking story throughout the weekend. In the above video, he lays out the latest developments.
