A 35-year-old woman was arrested yesterday in connection with an assault over the weekend.
On Tuesday morning, someone contacted Sault Police to report that an assault had occurred on March 31 in the 0-100 block of Grosvenor Avenue.
Police say a person “had physically assaulted and verbally threatened someone known to them.”
Officers arrested the suspect at her residence.
Melissa Favaro is charged with assault and uttering threats.
She was released on an undertaking and is scheduled back in court on June 3.
None of the allegations have been tested in court and Favaro is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
