Victim suffers non-life threatening injuries after early morning shooting: police

A person was sent to hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound after an incident early this morning, Sault Ste. Marie Police said in a news release issued today.

Police say they responded to a call around 2 a.m. in the 0-100 block of Stevens Street after reports of a gunshot.

Upon arrival, police found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound. They were transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.
