SAULT STE. MARIE POLICE SERVICE

On March 5, 2018, officers with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 25-year-old Jade Shawanda of Garden River and 43-year-old Shauna Profoehr of Dennis Street for theft.
It is alleged that the accused both attended a business in the 600 block of Trunk Road where they selected just under $70 worth of merchandise and left the business without paying. The accused were both apprehended by store security and held for police.
Both have been charged with one count of theft under $5,000. Ms. Shawanda was also charged with one count of breach of recognizance and she was held for bail court. Ms. Profoehr will appear in court on April 16, 2018.
