Two charged with breaking into vacant property on Pawating

Both suspects face multiple charges in connection with Thursday incident

Sault Police have charged a pair of individuals with break and enter as well as mischief after a report of a break and enter on Pawating Place.

On Thursday at around 9:15 a.m., a 911 caller reported a suspected break and enter at a vacant property in the 0-100 block of Pawating Place.

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Services' Patrol Services unit responded to the residence and found damaged property and two suspects inside.

Chelsey Williams is charged with:

  • break and enter
  • mischief under $5,000
  • failure to comply with release order

This accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Christina Armstrong is charged with:

  • break and enter
  • mischief under $5,000

This accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on June 10, 2024.

None of the allegations have been tested in court and both suspects are presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
