Two charged in unrelated theft investigations

Suspects in each incident allegedly selected merchandise and left without paying

On Nov. 17, 2018 officers with the Patrol Services Division of The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 46-year-old Tara Charron of Chapple Avenue for theft. 

It is alleged that the accused attended a business in the 700 block of Pine Street where she selected $40 worth of merchandise and then left the store without paying. The accused was apprehended by store security and held for police. 

Police attended and the accused was charged with one count of theft under $5,000. She will appear in court on Dec. 10, 2018.

On Nov. 18, 2018 officers with the Patrol Services Division of The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 43-year-old Nicole Breton of Caledon Road for theft.

It is alleged that the accused entered a business in the 100 block of Great Northern road where she selected just under $140 worth of merchandise and left the store without paying.

The accused was apprehended by store security and held for police. She has been charged with one count of theft under $5,000 and she will appear in court on Dec. 24, 2018.
