Female Arrested on Outstanding Warrant Officers with the Sault Ste.
Female Arrested on Outstanding Warrant

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 19 year-old Tracey Badu of 923 Queen Street East at 9:26 am on the 26th of September on an outstanding warrant and charged her with one count of fail to appear court. It is alleged that on August 29th the accused failed to attend court in relation to a shoplifting charge. The accused is to appear in bail court.

Youth Arrested for Assault

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 17 year-old female on the 26th of September at 5:05 pm and charged her with one count of assault. It is alleged that on the 24th of September, while in custody at a local youth facility, the accused assaulted another youth during a verbal argument. No injuries were reported. The accused is to appear in bail court this morning.

Male Wanted for Drug Possession and Breach of Probation Arrested

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 18 year-old Daniel Ward of 175 Sutton Place on the 26th of September at 10:48 pm and charged him with one count of possession of a controlled drug or substance and one count of breach of probation. It is alleged that the accused was wanted for an incident that took place on the 7th of September when a local youth services worker found the accused just outside the facility in possession of a small amount of marijuana. Police were called but the accused left prior to their arrival. At the time of the incident the accused was on probation with condition that he keep the peace and be good. The accused is to appear in court on the 31st of October.

Male Arrested on Outstanding Warrant

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 54 year-old Paul Faubert of 44 Riverin Avenue on the 26th of September at 1:25 pm on an outstanding warrant and charged him with one count of fraud. It is alleged that the accused was wanted in relation to a fraud incident that occurred on the 5th day of July when the accused by deceit and fraudulent means defrauded a person known to him in the amount of $1800 by taking their funds to complete a construction job and purchase the materials to complete it and did not do so. The accused did not return the money to the complainant. The accused is to appear in court on the 24th of October.

Break and Enter /Theft Reports

• Four storage units at a local storage facility were broken into over the past two days. The locks were cut off and some items were stolen.
• A female reported that her purse was stolen while she was at a local downtown bar on Saturday night.
• Bicycles were reported stolen from Amherst Street, Wellington Street East and Wallace Terrace.
• A vehicle on Gloucester Street was entered and a pair of sunglasses and an ownership was stolen.
