Break and Enters Yesterday between 10 am and 4 pm thieves broke into a home in the 4000 block of Second Line West. Thieves made off with a JVC DVD player, a Toshiba lap top computer and numerous Nintendo games.

Yesterday between 10 am and 4 pm thieves broke into a home in the 4000 block of Second Line West. Thieves made off with a JVC DVD player, a Toshiba lap top computer and numerous Nintendo games. Sometime over the weekend thieves broke into a Coca Cola Service truck and made off with 12-13 cases of pop. If you know where the stole property may be, call City Police at 949-6300 or Crime Stoppers.

Female Charged with Assault

41-year old Paula Desrochers of 727 Wellington Street East will appear in bail court this morning. It is alleged that last evening around 5 pm the accused pushed and punched a female victim in the face. The accused was arrested a short time later at a residence. When officers went to arrest the accused she resisted them by pulling away and wrestling making it difficult to handcuff her. Officers also learned that the accused was on a release document with conditions to notify a change of address, which they learned she had failed to do. The accused has been charged with one count of assault, one count of breach of a release order and one count of resist police.

Break and Enter By Three Teen Girls

Shortly after 10 pm last night officers attended in the 100 block of Brien Avenue and arrested three females and charged all three of them with one count of break and enter and commit an offence. The females are: 18-year old Jessica Mousseau of 22 Pardee Avenue, 18-year old Amy Hetner of 116 Andrew Street, and 18-year old Kelsey Odber of 2707 Base Line Road. It is alleged that Mousseau and Odber broke into a residence in the area and the Odber swung a baseball bat at a female occupant of the address and Mousseau punched the victim in the face. The accused Hetner did not enter the residence but did wait outside the residence while knowing the intent of the 2 persons who did enter the address. All three accused will attend court on November 7th.

Two Counts of Breach of Probation

Last evening around 8 pm City Police attended in the 200 block of McNabb Street for a cause a disturbance call. It is alleged that 38-year old Gary Bernard of 271 McNabb Street was outside yelling and shouting obscenities. During the course of their investigation, it is further alleged that the accused kicked a glass door and caused the glass to shatter on the 2 officers. While being arrested the accused continued to resist and assault the officers. Officers learned the accused was on 2 probation orders, each with terms to keep the peace and be good. Mr. Bernard has been charged with one count of assault police, one count of resist arrest, one count of cause a disturbance by swearing and two counts of breach of probation. The accused will appear in court on November 7th.
