Sexual Interference On the 25 September 2012 City Police Detectives charged 24 year old Allan Smythe-Lance with two counts of sexual interference. It is alleged Smythe-Lance identified himself as an 18 year old and also used a fictitious name.

On the 25 September 2012 City Police Detectives charged 24 year old Allan Smythe-Lance with two counts of sexual interference. It is alleged Smythe-Lance identified himself as an 18 year old and also used a fictitious name. He met the female victim (who was under the age of 16) on Facebook and commenced a relationship with her. The victim was unaware of the accused’s real name and age. Smythe-Lance will be appearing in bail court on the 26th September 2012.

City Police would again like to remind everyone who uses a social networking medium to be very cautious about who you chat with. When used properly it is an excellent communication tool, however, it is also the perfect medium for predators looking to take advantage of unsuspecting people. Know your friends and delete immediately anyone you do not know!

Break and enters

On the 25 September 2012 Aaron Scott Wilson (age 32) of 128 Second Line West, was located by City police behind Arby’s restaurant on Great Northern Rd shortly after 4 AM. A check of Wilson revealed he was on probation with a curfew from 11 PM to 7 AM. A search, subsequent to arrest, revealed numerous bank rolled coins and $5.00 bills in his pockets. The story Wilson provided Police regarding the money wasn’t making sense. Police subsequently checked the area and located 4 separate break and enters at Shogun Sushi, Subway, Kentucky Fried Chicken and Superior Home Bakery. All of the businesses are located on Great Northern Rd. Mr. Wilson was charged with break and enter, possession of stolen property and breach of probation x 2. He was remanded to the Algoma Treatment and Remand Center and will be appearing in bail court on the 26 September 2012.
