Nine persons to appear in bail court: 1) On Friday Aug. 29th city police were called to attend at Wal Mart, 446 Great Northern Rd. regarding a forged prescription.
Nine persons to appear in bail court:

1) On Friday Aug. 29th city police were called to attend at Wal Mart, 446 Great Northern Rd. regarding a forged prescription. Upon arrival officers arrested a male and charged him with one count of uttering a forged document. It is alleged that the accused attended at the Wal Mart pharmacy and attempted to obtain narcotics by forging a prescription. Charged is Allan Lee, age 43, of 4331 Oldie St., Hanmer, Ont.

2) On August 29th at approx.10:00 pm members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service “Street Team” stopped a motor vehicle on Albert St. W. As a result of an investigation a male was arrested and charged with one count of possession of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking. It is alleged that James Gilbert, age 51, of 566 Albert St. W., upstairs apt. was in possession of three individually wrapped packages of cocaine. These packages were suitable for re-sale and weighed approx. 22.5 grams. The cocaine has an estimated street value of $ 2,250.00

3)A 34-year-old male was arrested on Saturday August 30th and charged with one count of assault. It is alleged that the accused and his common-law wife were involved in an argument. During the argument the accused is said to have slapped her in the face three times. The victim suffered redness and swelling but did not require medical attention.

4) A 41-year-old male was arrested on Sunday August 31st and charged with two counts of breach of probation. It is alleged that the accused was involved in a verbal dispute with his ex-common-law wife at a centrally located address. Police were called and upon arrival officers discovered that the accused was on probation with conditions that he not communicate with his ex-common-law wife and that stay away from her residence.

5) A 14-year-old youth was arrested on Monday Sept 1st and charged with one count of breach of a recognizance and two counts of breach of probation. It is alleged that the accused, who was on a recognizance release order from Sudbury failed to reside where directed. It is further alleged that the accused was also on probation order conditions to reside where directed by the Children’s Aid Society.

6) On Monday Sept 1st at approx.7:10 pm city police were called to an east end residence regarding a domestic dispute. Upon arrival officers received information from the female complainant and subsequently arrested the accused. It is alleged that during a verbal argument between the accused and his wife that the accused male damaged a phone belonging to the wife. The accused is charged with one count of mischief.

7) On Monday Sept 1st city police were called to a west end address regarding an assault and mischief complaint. Upon arrival officers spoke to the victim and subsequently arrested a 50-year-old male. It is alleged that the accused punched the victim twice in the face and threatened to kill him. It is further alleged that the accused caused damage to the victim’s rental vehicle by striking it with a tree branch. Charged with one count of threatening death and one count of mischief is Danny Saba, age 50 of 292 Hemlock St Apt # 1, Sudbury, Ont. The victim did not require medical attention.

8) A 32-year-old male was arrested yesterday and charged with one count of breach of a recognizance and one count of breach of probation. It is alleged that on August 26th the accused attended at the residence of his ex-common-law girlfriend while on a recognizance release order to stay away from that address. At the time of this incidence t the accused was also on probation with conditions to keep the peace and be good.

9) A 17-year-old youth was arrested at approx. 3:30 am this morning and charged with one count of failing to appear for court and two counts of breach of probation. It is alleged that the youth, while bound by a probation order with a 10:00 pm curfew breached that condition and that he also failed to appear for court.

Male arrested for impaired driving:

On Sunday August 31st at approx. 3:45 am city police were called to the International Bridge plaza regarding an impaired driver. Upon arrival officers spoke to Canada Customs officers that had stopped an impaired driver. It is alleged that the accused drove his vehicle over the International Bridge while his ability to drive was impaired by alcohol. Charged with one count of impaired riving and one count of drive over 80mgs is Rocky Robitaille, age 22, of 672 Lennox Ave. he will be appearing in court on Oct 6th at 9:00 am.

Male arrested for break and enter:

On Monday Sept 1st at approx. 10:00 am city police were called to an east end residence regarding a break and enter to a garage. Upon arrival officers were informed that a male had just fled from the scene. Officers searched the area and located the accused male. It is alleged that the accused broke into a garage in the e500 block of Boundary Rd. and while there damaged a vehicle and stole a sweater. Charged with one count of break and enter, one count of mischief and one count of theft under $ 5,000.00 is Brian Harris, age 25, of 519 Boundary Rd. He will be appearing in court on Oct 6th at 9:00 am.

Break and enters: City police investigated break and enter reports at the following locations:

1. A garage at a residence in the 100 block of Churchill Ave. - it is unknown what was taken.
2. A residence in the 100 block of Elmwood Ave. - unknown what was taken.
3. A residence in the 600 block of Wellington St. W. - a lap top computer was stolen.
4. A residence in the 100 block of Murphy St. - unknown what was stolen.

Mischief: City police received reports of five vehicles damaged over the weekend. Vehicles were parked in the following locations:

1. 100 block of Elmwood Ave.
2. 100 block of Van Dale
3. 100 block of Carlbert St.
4. 700 block of Peoples Rd.
5. 200 block of Albert St. E.

The roof of Kiwedin School located at 750 North St. was damaged over the weekend.

Residences in the 100 block of Van Dale and the 100 block of James St. had windows damaged.

Theft: City police received two theft reports over the weekend.

A purse was stolen from the 500 block of Bay St.
Two bicycles were reported stolen from the 100 block of Pretoria Hill.
