Domestic Related Arrest: A 35 year-old male was arrested on the 26th of October at 1:02 am by officers with the Sault Ste Marie Police Service and charged with two counts of assault and three counts of breach of a release document.
Domestic Related Arrest:

A 35 year-old male was arrested on the 26th of October at 1:02 am by officers with the Sault Ste Marie Police Service and charged with two counts of assault and three counts of breach of a release document. It is alleged that on the 25th of October while at a residence party, the accused assaulted his girlfriend and a male that attempted to intervene. At the time of the incident the accused was under the influence of alcohol and was on a release document with conditions not to consume any alcohol and was not to molest, harass or physically interfere with the victim. He is to appear in bail court this morning.

Male Arrested for Sexual Assault:

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service Investigations Unit arrested 54 year-old James Garrett of 82 Old Mill Road in Heyden last evening at his residence and charged him with one count of sexual assault causing bodily harm. It is alleged that on the 24th of October the accused sexually assaulted a female known to him while at her residence. The victim received non-life threatening injures during the incident. The accused is to attend in court o the 29th of November.

Male Arrested for Theft:

Patrol Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 19 year-old Jordan Wiles of 215 Spruce Street last evening on Gore Street and charged him with one count of theft under $5,000.00. It is alleged that he was wanted for an incident that occurred on the 9th of October when he stole a laptop from a residence of a person known to him. He is to appear in court on the 13th of December.

Mac’s Convenience Store Robbery Under Investigation:

Officers responded to a robbery at the Mac’s Convenience Store on Gore Street that occurred at 1:22 am this morning. A lone male entered the store wearing a black hoodie, pulled out a knife and demanded all the cash in the till. The male fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. The clerk was not physically injured. Officers checked the area with negative results. The male is descried as being Native Canadian, approximately 18 years of age, 5 feet tall, thin build, short black hair, wearing a black hoodie with blue stripes and white runners. The investigation is ongoing.

Property Crimes:

Break and Enter Reports:
A residence on Melville Road was entered yesterday between 6 am and 2 pm. A big screen television was reported taken.
A residence on Village Court was entered during the past week. A 26 inch Insignia TV was stolen.

Theft/Mischief Reports:

Vehicle Smash and grabs were reported to vehicles on Dauphin Drive and in parking lots on Northern Avenue and McNabb Street. Purses, Cash, and a GPS Unit were reported stolen.
Several vehicle windows were smashed in the 600 block of Boundary Road.
A city bus shelter on Peoples Road and Fourth Line East was vandalized.
