The following three persons will be appearing in bail court this morning:

1) 21 year-old Cassandra Tilson of #3-110 Wilding Avenue was arrested on the 1st of October at 9:10 pm at her residence and charged with one count of breach of a release document. It is alleged that city police were at were at 110 Wilding Avenue on an unrelated matter when they discovered the accused in company and communicating with a 14 year-old male youth that she was on conditions not to communicate or associate with.
Officers also ran a check on the 14 year-old youth and discovered that he was also on bail recognizance release conditions that he not communicate or associate with the accused Cassandra Tilson, notify change of address, reside with surety and remain in his residence daily. The accused was not abiding by any of the conditions. Officers also discovered that there was an outstanding warrant for him for breach of a release document from the 24th of July for not being at his place of residence 24 hours a day and that he was currently on probation with the curfew conditions to be in his residence nightly. This youth was charged with seven counts of breach of recognizance and one count of breach of probation under the Youth Criminal Justice Act of Ontario.

2) 32 year-old Lori Legault of no fixed address was arrested on the 1st of October at 11:41 pm on Queen Street East and charged with three counts of breach of recognizance and once count of breach of probation. It is alleged that on the 1st of October at 11:41 pm officers located the accused at an address on Queen Street East when they were investigating an unrelated matter. The accused was under the influence of alcohol and intoxicated at the time. The accused was on bail release conditions not to consume any alcohol, to abide by curfew conditions 8pm – 7am and to reside at the address specified in her release document. She advised officers that she was currently living at a different address. The accused was also on probation conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.

The following mischief complaints were taken last evening:

1) A home on Field Square was egged some time on the first of October.

2) A Lock City Transport parked on Wellington Street West was damaged when rocks were thrown at the windows.

3) A small fire was discovered by police at approximately 2 am this morning at the north end of White Pines School. It appears a garbage bag near the school was lit on fire. No damage was reported to the school. Officers checked the area and didn’t locate any persons around at the time.

Seven Motor Vehicle & Animal Collisions

City Police have investigated at least seven motor vehicle and animal collisions in the past week, mostly involving deer. The collisions have occurred in the following areas: Second Line East near Strathclair Field, Second Line West near Airport Road, Airport Road near the area of the Airport and Great Northern Road near fifth and sixth Line. There were no injuries reported. Some vehicles were severely damaged.
City police would like to remind motorists to be aware of animals and to drive cautiously at all timed, especially at dusk and dawn when animal collisions most frequently occur.
