There are no arrests to report on this morning.
Mischief Reports:
- Vehicles on Queen Street East and Bay Street were vandalized.
- A bus shelter at Pine Street at McNabb Street was vandalized.
- A window of a residence on McNabb Street was damaged by a pellet gun.
Theft Reports:
- A vehicle on Churchill Avenue was entered and a purse, identification and medication were reported stolen.
- Metal markers and other steel items were stolen from a property on Landslide Road over the past weekend.
Break and Enter Reports:
- A residence on Pim Street was entered yesterday between 8:50 am and 3 pm. A Dell Laptop computer, money and medication were reported stolen.
- A residence on Macdonald Avenue was entered. It is not known at this time if anything was taken.
There have been a number of break and enters reported over the past week. The Sault Ste Marie Police Service would like to remind the public of some break and enter prevention tips:

- Make your home appear occupied when you go out.
- Lock all doors and windows.
- Leave lights on and the radio playing.
- Keep your garage door closed and locked.
- Use timing devices to turn inside lights on and off.
- Lock all sheds. I
- If you will be gone several days, arrange to have the mail and papers stopped or picked up.
- Inform your trusted neighbours you will be away and ask them to keep an eye on you residence.
- Half of all home burglaries occur during the day when alert neighbors could spot and report the thieves.
