Domestic Related Arrest for Bail Court Appearance

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 17 year-old male at 8 pm last night at his residence and charged him with three counts of assault, two counts of threaten death or bodily harm and two counts of breach of probation. It is alleged that on the 11th of November the accused assaulted his girlfriend at his residence during a verbal argument. The victim received non-life threatening injuries as a result.

When officers investigated the domestic dispute they discovered that the victim had been assaulted and threatened by the accused in June and August of this year as well. The accused was on probation conditions at the time of the incident to keep the peace and be good.

Impaired Driving Arrest

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 48 year-old Brian Snider of 27 Elmwood Avenue at 1:40 pm on Great Northern Road and charged him with one count of impaired driving and one count of consume over the legal limit.

It is alleged that at 1:33 pm on the 14th of November officers were called to attend at a local restaurant parking lot on Great Northern Road in regards to a male passed out in a truck in the parking lot.

Officers located the driver, the accused, passed out in his truck and under the influence of alcohol.

He was subsequently arrested and is to appear in court on the 19th December.

Shoplifting Arrest

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 44 year-old Lee-Ann Hudebine of #2-181 James Street at 4:25 pm yesterday and charged her with one count of theft under $5,000. It is alleged that on the 14th of November the accused attended at Rome’s Independent Grocers and stole some items. She is to appear in court on the 19th of December.

Male Arrested for Possession of Stolen Property

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 22 year-old Joseph Fitzgerald of 244 Albert Street West (side apt.) on the 14th of November at 10:40 am on St. Mary’s River Drive and charged him with one count of possession of stolen property. It is alleged that on the 10th of August 2011 the accused attended at a local pawn shop and pawned two stolen bikes. The accused is to appear in court on the 12th of December.

Female Youth Arrested for Assault

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 15 year-old female youth at 4 pm yesterday and charged her with one count of assault. It is alleged that on the 20th of October the accused assaulted a female known to her while at a local park. The victim received non-life threatening injuries as a result. The accused is to appear in court on the 13th of December.

Break and Enter/Theft Reports

• A residence on Bruce Street was entered on the 14th of November just before 11 pm last evening. A 40 inch television, liquor and medication were reported stolen.

• An attempt break and enter was reported to a residence on Cameron Avenue.

• A snow plow harness was reported stolen from Carlbert Street on Saturday morning.

• Gas was reported stolen from vehicles at a local business in the 1000 block of Trunk Road.

• A Rocky Mountain bike was reported stolen from Stanley Street.

Mischief

A window of a vehicle on Albert Street East was broken.
