At 8:30 p.m. on May 2, 2016 city police arrested a 13-year-old young offender who cannot be named for break and enter and assault. City police responded to an alarm call at the old William Merrifield School.

At 8:30 p.m. on May 2, 2016 city police arrested a 13-year-old young offender who cannot be named for break and enter and assault. City police responded to an alarm call at the old William Merrifield School. An investigation revealed that the young person had entered the school and set off some fire extinguishers. Additionally the young person assaulted another young person by discharging the fire extinguisher at him. The young offender has been charged with one count of break and enter and one count of assault. He will be appearing in court on June 7, 2016.
