Two males arrested as a result of domestic related incidents

1) A 27 year-old male was arrested on the 12th of May at 9:16 pm at the city police station and charged with four counts of threaten death or bodily harm. It is alleged that on the 12th of May around 7 pm the accused attended outside the residence of his ex-common law spouse and was video taping the residence and the occupants of the home. During the incident, the accused made threatening gestures towards the victim and some of her family members. The accused is to appear in bail court this morning.

2) A 46 year-old male was arrested on the 12th of May at 10:45 pm at the residence of his ex-common law partner and charged with three counts of breach of probation. It is alleged that on the 12th of May at around 10:40 pm the accused attended at her residence and at the time he was on probation with conditions that he not attend there and to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. At the time of the incident the accused was under the influence of alcohol and was on further conditions that he not consume any alcohol. He is to appear in bail court this morning.

Male youth charged after being found with drugs

A 17 year-old male youth was arrested on the 12th of May at 10:00 pm at his residence and charged with one count of possession of a controlled drug or substance and two counts of breach of probation under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. It is alleged that on the 12th of May around 7 pm city police attended at the Youth’s residence at request of the parents who called for police assistance. When police attended, the accused was found in possession of a small amount of marijuana and other drug paraphernalia. At the time of the incident, the accused was on probation with conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and to abstain from the possession of narcotics. He is to appear in court on the 17th of June.

Youths charged with assault

A 16 year-old male youth and a 14 year-old female youth were arrested on the 12th of May at 11:46 pm on Huron Street and charged with one count of assault. It is alleged that on the 12th of May around 11:45 pm the two accused youths approached a female known to them on Huron Street and assaulted her by pushing her to the ground and slapping her several times. Police attended and at the time of the arrest the male accused resisted them by attempting to pull away several times. He was further charged with one count of resist peace officer.
They are both to appear in court on the 17th of June.

The following three break and enters were reported yesterday

1) There was an attempt break and enter reported at the Sugar and Spice Store on Pim Street.
2) A residence on Hill Road in Prince Township was entered. There was nothing reported taken.
3) A residence on Edmonds Avenue was entered on the 11th of May between the hours of 5 pm and midnight. A sander, a bicycle and some other tools were reported stolen.
