The following persons will appear in bail court: 1) 36-year old Wayne Hewitt of 13 Kim Drive, Heyden was arrested and charged this morning with two counts of breach of a release order.
The following persons will appear in bail court:

1) 36-year old Wayne Hewitt of 13 Kim Drive, Heyden was arrested and charged this morning with two counts of breach of a release order. Just after midnight officers attended at a downtown residence for a disturbance call. Officers spoke to the accused and a query revealed that he was breaching release orders by allegedly drinking and failing to be in his residence during a curfew hours.

2) 25-year old Joseph Elie of 483 Second Avenue was arrested just after 11 pm last night and charged with one count of possession of property obtained by crime and one count of break and enter and commit an offence. It is alleged that the accused broke into Superior Sewing Machine on Gore Street with another male and then fled the scene. Witnesses provided a description of the suspects and officers apprehended the accused on North Street. Officers located a key for a vehicle from Highland Ford that had been stolen earlier.

3) 22-year old Dylan Jocko of 26 ½ Wallace Terrace was arrested just after 11 pm last night and charged with one count of break and enter and commit an offence. It is alleged that the accused broke into Superior Sewing Machine on Gore Street with another male and then fled the scene. Witnesses provided a description of the suspects and officers apprehended the accused on North Street.

4) A 14-year old male youth was arrested yesterday morning and charged with one count of theft under $5,000 and one count of breach of probation under the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA). It is alleged that the accused attended at Rome’s, stole two lobsters worth $23, left the store, was apprehended by store security and turned over the officers. At the time of the offence the accused was on probation with conditions.

Robbery at Scotia Bank Machine

Last evening just before 10 pm a male was at the ATM Machine at the Scotia Bank at the Station Mall when two males approached him. A knife was brandished by the suspects who stole the victim’s bankbooks and teller card. It is unknown at this time if the suspects obtained any money. The victim was not physically harmed in this incident. The two accused males are both described as being between 17 to 25 years of age and between 5’6” to 6’ tall. They both had their faces covered with hoods that were either black or blue as well as striped scarves. If you have any information regarding this robbery contact the Sault Ste. Youth Charged with Theft Under $5,000

A 16-year old male was arrested last night and charged with one count of theft under $5,000 and one count of breach of a release order. It is alleged that the youth attended at the Sears Store in the Station Mall and stole a pair of sunglasses and a watch and left the store without paying for the merchandise. The male was apprehended by store security and turned over to officers. The accused was on a release document with conditions not to attend at the Station Mall. The accused will appear in court on April 10th.

Youth Charged with Disturbance and Assault

A 14-year old male was arrested yesterday afternoon by officers from the High School Liaison Unit and charged with one count of cause a disturbance by fighting and one count of assault. It is alleged that the youth assaulted another male at a local high school and slapped the victim. This occurred over the noon hour period. The accused will appear in court on April 10th.

Failing to Appear in Court

29-year old Dennis Rinaldi of 35 Wallace Terrace was arrested yesterday morning on an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court on February 26th. The accused attended and the police station and turned himself in. It is alleged that the accused failed to attend court in relation to one count of breach of probation and one count of operate motor vehicle while disqualified-court order. He will appear in court on April 16th.
