Two Persons For Bail Court: 22-year-old Candice Louise Miron of no fixed address was arrested on an outstanding warrant for allegedly failing to attend court.

Two Persons For Bail Court:

22-year-old Candice Louise Miron of no fixed address was arrested on an outstanding warrant for allegedly failing to attend court.

22-year-old Natasha Leslie Baxter of 187 Hudson Street was arrested on an outstanding warrant for allegedly failing to attend court.

Arrests:

52-year-old Richard MacDonald of 26 Allen Street was arrested and charged for allegedly operating a motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol.  He was additionally charged with operating a motor vehicle while over the legal limit of alcohol (over 80 mgs).  He is to appear in court on the 23rd of April at 9:00 a.m.

29-year-old Crystal Dawn Simpson of 28 Best Road in Goulais River was arrested and charged for allegedly stealing tools and computer accessories from Sears (293 Bay Street).  Total value of the items was approximately $520.00.  She was released with a court date of the 7th of May 2012 at 9:00 a.m.

26-year-old Carrie Dawn Maki was arrested after turning herself in on an outstanding warrant for allegedly failing to attend court.  She was released with a new court date of the 30th of April 2012 at 9:00 a.m.

Break And Enters:

  • A residence in the 600 block of Albert Street West.  Electronics were stolen.
  • An attempt break and enter to a residence on Hughes Street
  • A shed in the 500 block of Boundary Road.  Nothing appears to have been taken.
  • A camper trailer in the 600 block of Boundary Road.  Nothing was taken but some damage was done.

Thefts And Property Crimes:

  • A GPS was stolen from a vehicle on Oak Park Crescent.
  • Cash was stolen from a vehicle in the 100 block of Dell Avenue.
  • A ring was stolen from a vehicle in the 600 block of Goulais Avenue.
  • A license plate was stolen from a vehicle on Shannon Road.
  • A bike was stolen in the 100 block of Turner Avenue and another in the 700 block of Second Line West.
  • Tires were slashed to a vehicle in the 500 block of Lake Street.
  • A window was smashed belonging to a business in the 100 block of Queen Street West.

With the snow gone more people are inclined to use their bicycles for pleasure and transportation.  The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service would like to remind cyclists not to leave their bikes unattended and to secure them properly with a strong lock and chain when not in use.  Also, bicycles should be secured in a garage or shed for the night if possible.
