Domestic Dispute A domestic dispute in the east end of the city yesterday afternoon resulted in the arrest of a 35-year-old male.

A domestic dispute in the east end of the city yesterday afternoon resulted in the arrest of a 35-year-old male. The accused is alleged to have assaulted his girlfriend by throwing her to the ground, pinning her down on a couch and by twisting her arms. Victim did not require medical attention for her injuries. The accused will be appearing in bail court today on a charge of assault.

Three Females Charged with Assault

Yesterday afternoon city police arrested and charged three females with assault. It is alleged that on Saturday March 8th at approx. 2:00 am the three accused attended at a downtown address and assaulted a female resident. The victim, who is known to the accused, was punched, pushed and had her hair pulled out by the accused. The victim was taken to the Sault Area Hospital and treated for cuts and scratches to her head and face.
The accused, each charged with one count of assault are:

1. Tiffany Gardner, age 19, of 183 James St.
2. [No conviction], age 19
These two accused will be appearing in court on April 14th at 9:00 am.
The third accused is a 15-year-old female and will be appearing in court on April 15th at 9:30 am.

Shoplifting

City police were called to 111 Tancred St. yesterday regarding a male shoplifter. It is alleged that at 3:45 pm yesterday afternoon the accused attend at the Queen Street Pawnbrokers and stole a digital camera. The accused was apprehended by store employees and held for police. Charged with one count of theft under
$ 5,000 is: Michel Koussaye, age 18, of 6 Hawthorne Ave. He will be appearing in court on April 7th at
9:00 am.

Failing to Appear in Court

Last night at approx. 8:55 pm a 17-year-old male attended at the city police station yesterday and turned himself in on a warrant for failing to appear in court. It is alleged that the accused failed to appear for court on March 4th at 9:30 am on a charge of impaired driving and drive over 80 mgs. The accused was charged with one count of fail to appear for court and will now be appearing in court on April 15th at 9:30 am.

Break & Enters

The Sault Ste Marie Police Service received one complaint of a break and enter. A residence in the 100 block of Idaho Dr. was entered and a home theater system was stolen. Incident occurred between March 8th and early yesterday morning.

The city police received one report of a vehicle being entered in the 600 block of Connaught Ave. It is not known at this time what was stolen.
