Domestic Related Arrests

City police responded to a domestic related incident outside a local bar around 6:41 pm last evening that involved a 23 year-old male and 18 year-old female. It is alleged that the two, that had just left a local bar, both under the influence of alcohol, got into a verbal argument that turned into a physical altercation. As a result, a 23 year-old male was charged with one count of assault, two counts of breach of probation and one count of intoxicated in public place. The female was charged with one count of assault and one count of intoxicated in a public place. They are both scheduled to appear in bail court this morning.

Male Arrested on Outstanding Warrants

23 year-old Dylan Jocko of 26 ½ Wallace Terrace was arrested on outstanding warrants the 2nd of June at 1:25 pm on Queen Street East and charged with one count of fail to appear court, two counts of breach of probation, and one count of fail to appear for prints. He is to appear in court on the 7th of July.

Youth Trespassing at Station Mall Arrested on Outstanding Warrants

A 15 year-old youth was arrested on the 2nd of June at 8:28 pm at the Station Mall and charged with one count of breach of a release document and one count of enter premises when entry prohibited under the Trespass to Property Act. It is alleged that on the 2nd of June around 8:12 pm city police attended to assist Station Mall Security with a male youth that was found trespassing at the Station Mall. When officers attended and ran a check on the male they discovered that he was wanted on outstanding warrants for possession of a weapon dangerous, assault with a weapon and failing to appear court. He is to appear in bail court this morning.

Female Youth Arrested for Assault

A 14 year-old female youth was arrested at her residence on the 2nd of June at 9:52 am and charged with one count of assault. It is alleged that on the 30th of May around 11:30 am the accused assaulted a fellow student just outside a local high school by punching her in the face. The victim received non-life threatening injuries. She is to appear in court on the 8th of July.

Male Arrested for Shoplifting

38 year-old Alain Chartrand of #402-94 Allard Street was arrested on the 2nd of June at his residence and charged with one count of theft under $5,000. It is alleged that on the 1st of June he attended at Rome’s Independent Grocers and stole groceries valued at $84.66. He is to appear in court on the 7th of June.

Break and Enters Reported Yesterday

1) A shed on Princeton Drive was entered sometime overnight on the 2nd of June. A Yamaha 250 4 stroke motorbike and a Kawasaki YV 125 motorbike were reported stolen.

2) There was an attempt break and enter reported to the Beaver Peddler Pizza Shop on Great Northern Road sometime overnight on the 2nd of June.

3) Frenchie’s Fries on Great Northern Road was entered sometime overnight on the 2nd of June.

4) Clockwork Computer Store on Black Road was entered sometime overnight on the 2nd of June. Three laptops were reported stolen.
