Two males to appear for bail court At approximately 1:30 am this morning members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested an 18-year-old male for mischief and possession of a controlled substance.
Two males to appear for bail court

At approximately 1:30 am this morning members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested an 18-year-old male for mischief and possession of a controlled substance. It is alleged that the accused male attended at the Mac’s Mart Store on Gore St. and threw a rock through the window. Police attended and arrested the accused. It is further alleged that the accused was in possession of a substance believed to be ecstasy upon his arrest. At the time of these offences the accused was also intoxicated and on probation with conditions to not consume alcohol. The accused, Thomas Agawa, age 18, of no fixed address, is charged with one count of mischief, one count of possession of a controlled substance and four counts of breach of probation.

Yesterday afternoon members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 23-year-old male on a warrant. It is alleged that Cleis Neveau, age 23, of 42 Bearl St, Sudbury, failed to appear for identification purposes on January 19th, 2010. Mr. Neveau is charged with one count of failing to appear for identification.

Female arrested for assault

Yesterday afternoon members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 34-year-old female on a charge of assault. It is alleged that the accused female attended at the victim’s residence and assaulted the victim by punching her in the head. Victim did not require medical attention. Charged with one count of assault is Alliette Marin, age 34, of 631 MacDonald Ave Apt #510. She will be appearing in court on Aug 9th at 9:00 am.

Male arrested for theft and assault causing bodily harm

Last night at approximately 10:30 pm members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested an 18-year-old male for theft and two counts of assault causing bodily harm. It is alleged that on June 19th the accused assaulted the victim by placing a burning item against the victim’s skin on two occasions. It is further alleged that on June 25th the accused stole a baseball cap from the same victim. Cameron Hurly age 18, of 121 Denwood Dr. is charged with two counts of assault causing bodily harm and one count of theft under $ 5,000. Mr. Hurley will be appearing in court on August 9th at 9:00 am.

Break and enter

A residence in the 400 block of Queen St. W. was entered. Electronics were reported stolen.

Theft

Vehicles were entered in the 100 block of Conmee Ave, the 100 block of Texas Ave, the 100 block of Robin St. and the 500 block of Morrison Ave. Electronics and auto parts were stolen. A bicycle was reported stolen from a residence in the 300 block of Old Garden River Rd.

Mischief

A window was broken at a residence in the 100 block of Gladstone Ave.
