Suspicious Youth Arrested on Outstanding Warrants Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 17 year-old male youth at 3:35 am this morning on after receiving a call regarding a suspicious male in the P-Patch area.
Suspicious Youth Arrested on Outstanding Warrants
Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 17 year-old male youth at 3:35 am this morning on after receiving a call regarding a suspicious male in the P-Patch area. When officers located the male in the area and ran a check on him they discovered he was wanted on outstanding warrants.

When officers advised the youth he was under arrest, he attempted to flee on his bike. A short foot chase ensued and the male was quickly apprehended.

The check revealed that he was wanted on outstanding warrants for two separate incidents. He was charged with one count of robbery in relation to an incident that occurred on May 17th when he assaulted a male known to him and stole money from him. The second warrant was for a theft incident that took place on October 18th 2010 in which he stole two firearms from a vehicle parked at a residence on Gibbs Street. In relation to this incident, he was charged with one count of theft under $5,000, one count of trespassing at night and one count of possession of a weapon obtained by crime.

At the time of his arrest the accused was found in possession of a small bag of marijuana and a digital scale. The accused was further charged with one count of possession of a controlled drug or substance, another count of trespass at night and one count of escape lawful custody.

Female Arrested on Outstanding Warrant
Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 36 year-old Crystal Harvey of 226 Birch Street on the 28th of June at 2:15 am on Walnut Street on an outstanding warrant. It is alleged that she failed to appear for prints and court in April and May. She has been charged with one count of fail to appear prints and one count of fail to appear court.

Domestic Related Arrest
Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 43 year-old male on the 28th of June at 12:05 am and charged him with one count of criminal harassment. It is alleged that the accused called his estranged wife numerous times over the course of the evening and continued calling her after being warned by police.

Male Arrested for Intoxicated in a Public Place and Resisting Arrest
Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 18 year-old Marty Bardawill of 16 St. Andrews Terrace at 9:10 pm last night at Sault Area Hospital and charged him with on count of resist peace officer and one count of intoxicated in a public place. It is alleged that on the 27th of June at approximately 9:10 pm the accused was in an intoxicated state and causing a disturbance at the hospital.

When officers attempted to deal with the male he would not comply and was arrested. The accused struggled with the officers and resisted arrest. The accused is to appear in court on the 8th of August.

Break and Enter/Theft Reports
• A residence on Cathcart was broken into over the past weekend. Several electronics were reported stolen.

• A business compound on Industrial Park Crescent was broken into on two occasions during the past week. Copper wire was reported stolen.

• A garage in the 500 block of Allens Side Road over the past four days. Two Norco bikes were reported stolen.

• A sign was stolen from the Kinsmen Park area.

Mischief Reports
• A vehicle on Walter Street was heavily scratched sometime yesterday.

• A porch window on Albert Street West was smashed.

• A door of a residence in the 400 block of Queen Street West was vandalized.
