Lindsay Dawson Was Not Impaired But Impersonated

Yesterday afternoon officers from the Traffic Services Section arrested 26-year old Tara McKinley of 47B Central Creek and charged her with one count of impaired driving and one count of consume over the legal limit. She was additionally charged with one count of personation with intent. It is alleged that the accused McKinley identified herself on the 24th of June as Lindsay Dawson. The charges against Lindsay Dawson will be withdrawn as she was not the individual driving the vehicle on the 24th of June. Tara McKinley will appear in court on July 31st.

Theft At The LCBO

44-year old Constance Green of no fixed address will appear in bail court this morning. It is alleged that on the 26th of June just after 6 pm the accused attended in the LCBO Store in the Station Mall and attempted to leave the store without paying for a bottle of vodka. The accused was apprehended by LCBO staff members and turned over to City Police. It is further alleged that the accused breached a release order by consuming alcohol while on conditions not to consume alcohol and by also failing to notify a change of address. At the time of the offences the accused was on probation with conditions to keep the peace and be good. The accused has been charged with one count of theft under $5,00, one count of breach of probation and two counts of breach of a release order.

15 Yr Old Breaches Probation

A 15-year old youth will also appear in bail court this morning on two counts of breach of probation under the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA). It is alleged that the accused failed to be inside their own residence between the curfew hours of 9 pm and 6 am on the 24th of June and again on the 26th of June. The curfew conditions were part of a probation order.

Break & Enters

City Police received a number of break and enter reports in the last 24 hours:

1) Yesterday morning just before 9 am the Palombi Law Office located at suite 402-473 Queen Street East reported a break and enter. It is unknown if anything was taken.

2) A report was also received yesterday morning just before 9 am that the Sault Ste. Marie Real Estate Board Office was broken into at 2nd floor 477 Queen Street East. It is unknown if anything was taken.

3) Yesterday morning just after 10 am City Police received a report of an attempt break and enter to the Sir James Dunn High School located at 1601 Wellington Street East.

4) Yesterday afternoon a residence in the 500 block of Cooper Street was entered and an undisclosed amount of money was taken.

5) Last evening at suppertime a homeowner in the 300 block of First Avenue reported a break and enter to their residence. It is unknown at this time if anything was taken.

6) On the 26th of June between 1 pm and 11:30 pm a home in the 300 block of Devon Road was entered and a computer, a digital camcorder and three bags of tobacco were taken.
