In the early morning hours of Monday June 19th City Police attended at 279 Northern Ave Apt.2-3 and executed a search warrant. It is alleged that once inside the residence the police officers located a marihuana plant and several seedlings. Charged with Possession of a Substance and
Production of a Substance are:
1. Lionel James Fleury, Age 36, of 279 Northern Ave
Apt 2-3.
2. Amber Joy Williamson, Age 20, of 279 Northern Ave
Apt. 2-3.
Both are charged with Possession of a Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking and Production of a Substance. Both will be appearing in court on Monday July 24th at 9:00 AM on these charges.

65 Year Old Breaks Into Church

On Sunday June 18th the Zion Lutheran Church was broken into. Police investigation into the incident resulted in the arrest of a 65-year-old male. It is alleged that the accused, Richard Delabbio, attended at the rear of the church and smashed out a rear window to gain entry. Once inside the accused stole a small amount of change. The accused was later located and found to be in possession of the money and also break and enter tools. The accused had a balaclava; a hack saw a flashlight and gloves in his possession. Charged with Break and Enter, Possession of Stolen Property and Possession of Housebreaking Tools is Richard Delabbio, age 65, of 646 Portage Lane. He will be appearing in Court on Monday July 24th at 9:00 AM.

Mischief To Vehicles

City Police are investigating three reports of mischief to vehicles from overnight.
Thieves smashed out the rear window on a vehicle parked in the 300 block of Northland Rd. and then removed the stereo system.
Two vehicles parked in the 900 block of Queen St.E. were damaged. A purse was stolen from one of the vehicles.

Stolen Vehicle

City Police received a report of a stolen vehicle from this past weekend. A 1988 white Chev Cavalier was stolen from the 400 block of Black Rd. The vehicle did not have any plates on it.

Bike Registration

As the school year winds down police are starting to notice an increase in the number of bicycle thefts stolen. Last night City Police received four reports of bicycles being stolen overnight. The public is reminded to lock their bicycles in a secure location and don’t forget to register your bikes. Bicycle registration is free- just call the Community Service Office, at 949-6300 ext 363, to make arrangements.
