Two Domestic Related Arrests Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 23 year-old female at 2:54 am this morning and charged her with ten counts of breach of a release document and four counts of breach of probation.

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 23 year-old female at 2:54 am this morning and charged her with ten counts of breach of a release document and four counts of breach of probation. It is alleged that the accused attended at the residence of her ex-girlfriend and was yelling and causing a disturbance outside her front door.

At the time the accused was under the influence of alcohol and when officers ran a check on her they discovered she was wanted on an outstanding warrant for beaching her release documents and probation orders. At the time of the incident the accused was on conditions not to communicate with her ex-girlfriend, not to molest, harass or annoy her and to remain away from her residence.

Further, the accused was to remain within her own residence between 8 pm and 7am, to abstain from alcohol and was on a probation order with conditions to keep the peace and be good and not to molest, harass, annoy or interfere with the victim. The accused is to appear in bail court this morning.


Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 42 year-old female on the 13th of June at 9:15 pm at her residence and charged her with one count of assault and one count of mischief. It is alleged that on the 13th of June at approximately 7 pm the accused got into a verbal argument with her ex-husband, assaulted him and keyed his vehicle causing damage to it. The accused is to appear in court on the 20th of July.

Male Arrested for Possession of Stolen Bicycle
Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 31 year-old Brett Warnock of #4-814 Wellington Street East at 5:20 pm on the 13th of June at the police station and charged him with one count of possession of property obtained by crime. It is alleged that on the 11th of June the accused pawned a stolen bicycle at a local pawn shop. The accused is to appear in court on the 18th of July.

Mail Arrested for Reach of Release Documents
Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 19 year-old Brandon Horton of #203-721 Pine Street on the 13th of June at 1:30 pm at his residence and charged him with two counts of breach of a release document and one count of breach of probation. It is alleged that the accused was wanted for breaching his recognizance and probation conditions between the 4th and 5th of June by attending at a local bar past his curfew, purchasing and consuming alcohol. The accused was on a curfew to be in his residence from 11:00pm to 8:00am, was to keep the peace and be good and was not to possess, consume or purchase any alcohol. He is to attend in court on the 14th of June.

Motor Vehicle Collision Involving City Transit Bus
The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service responded to a motor vehicle collision on the 13th of June just before 9 am at the intersection of Carmen’s Way and Queen Street West that involved a City Transit Bus and a Ford Pickup truck. It is alleged that the driver of the pickup truck was proceeding southbound on Carmen’s Way making a left hand turn when the truck collided with a westbound City Transit Bus that had been travelling westbound on Queen Street West. Both drivers and one passenger on the bus attended at Sault Area Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injures. The driver of the pickup truck, 26 year-old Patrick Sullivan, of 388 Sussex Road has been charged with one count of fail to yield to traffic on through highway under the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario.

Break and Enter and Theft Reports
• A garage on Carpin Beach Road was entered during the past week. A riding lawn tractor was reported stolen.

• A horse barn on Frontenac was entered sometime overnight from the 12th-13th of June.
• A 21 speed Arashi Mountain Bike was reported stolen from North Street on the 13th of June.

• A cement saw was reported stolen from Charles Street.

• A snow blower was reported stolen from Borron Avenue

Requesting Public’s Assistance
Yesterday morning, officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service located and recovered a blue Yamaha 4X4 Big Bear four wheeler with an old wooden trailer in a bush area of Airport Road. Officers are unable to identify it at this time as there were no plates on the vehicle. Officers are attempting to determine who the owner of the vehicle is and if the bike may have been stolen or just abandoned there by the owner.
