Five persons to appear in bail court Yesterday afternoon members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 42-year-old female on a warrant. It is alleged that the accused breached conditions of conditional release order.

Yesterday afternoon members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 42-year-old female on a warrant. It is alleged that the accused breached conditions of conditional release order. Arrested was Tammy Moore, age 42, of 352 Cathcart St. Ms Moore is charged with breach of conditional sentence.

Yesterday evening members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 17-year-old male for theft under and possession of stolen property. It is alleged that entered the L.C.B.O. Store, in the Churchill Plaza, and stole a quantity of alcohol. Police were called and located the youth a short distance away. The youth is charged with one count of theft under $ 5,000, one count of possession of property obtained by crime and two counts of breach of probation.

Yesterday afternoon members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 33-year-old male for assault. It is alleged that in June 2010 the accused assaulted his common-law girlfriend by shoving her into a wall. The victim suffered minor injuries but did not require medical attention. The male is charged with one count of assault.

Yesterday members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 20-year-old female for breach of an undertaking. It is alleged that the accused, who was bound by conditions of an undertaking to not communicate with a certain person, sent letters to that person. At the time of this offence the accused was being detained at the Algoma Treatment and Remand Centre. Charged with one count of breach of an undertaking is Brittany Wiebe, age 20.

Early this morning members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 33-year-old female for impaired driving and drive over 80 mgs. It is alleged that at approximately 3:30 this morning the accused was operating her vehicle south on Gore St. Officers observed this and stopped the vehicle for driving the wrong way on a one way street. Upon speaking to the driver officers determined that her ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol. Shannon Leroux, age 33, of Redcliff, Alberta is charged with one count of impaired driving and one count of drive over 80 mgs.

Female arrested for theft under $ 5,000

Yesterday afternoon members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 20-year-old female for theft under $ 5,000. It is alleged that the accused entered the Zellers Store, in the Station mal and stole a package of sunscreen. Accused was apprehended by store security and turned over to the city police. It is further alleged that at the time of this offence the accused was on a recognizance release order with conditions to keep the peace and be good and to notify the Sault Ste Marie Police Service of any address change of address. Sasha Daigle, age 20, of 277 Northern Ave Ap. # 309 is charged with one count of theft under $ 5,000 and two counts of breach of a recognizance. She will be appearing in court on Aug30th at 9:00 am.

Break and enter

Break and enters were reported to the following locations:
The 100 block of Weldon Ave- construction site of the F.H. Clergue School. Tools were stolen.
The 400 block of John St. – medication was taken.
The 100 block of Willow Ave- unknown at this time what was taken.
The 600 block of North St. – unknown what was taken.
The 3800 block of Queen St.E. – electronics taken.

Theft

Bicycles were stolen from the following locations:
The 500 block of Korah Rd, the 1200 block of Second Line W., the 100 block of Euclid Rd. and the 300 block of Cathcart St.

A vehicle parked in the 200 block of Cathcart St was entered. Identification was taken.
