Four persons for bail court: 1) Yesterday evening at approx. 6:40 pm city were called to a downtown residence regarding a domestic assault. Upon arrival officers spoke to the female complainant and subsequently arrested a 25-year-old male.

1) Yesterday evening at approx. 6:40 pm city were called to a downtown residence regarding a domestic assault. Upon arrival officers spoke to the female complainant and subsequently arrested a 25-year-old male. It is alleged that the accused used a knife to assault the seven-year-old son of his common-law wife. The victim suffered extensive bruising and swelling to both hands. It is further alleged that the accused damaged the complainant’s phone when she attempted to call police. The accused male is charged with one count of assault with a weapon, one count of assault causing bodily harm and one count of mischief.

2) Yesterday afternoon at approx. 4:30 pm city police were called to a west end residence regarding a mischief complaint. It is alleged that a 14-year-old male used a tire iron to damage a door at the residence. It is further alleged that when police arrived and arrested the youth he resisted arrest and assault one of the police officers by kicking he. The youth was subsequently arrested and taken to the police station. The youth is charged with one count of mischief, one count of assault police, one count of resist arrest and one count of breach of probation.

3) Yesterday evening at approx. 7:50 pm city police were called to the Station Mall regarding two young females trespassing on the property. Upon arrival officers spoke to mall security and were informed that the two
14-year-old girls were on trespass notices to remain away from the premises of the Station Mall. It is further alleged that one girl was on a probation order to remain away from the other girl. The second girl was on an undertaking release to remain away from the first girl. The first young girl is charged with three counts of breach of probation and one count of breach of an undertaking. The second girl is charged with one count of breach of an undertaking.

Theft under $ 5,000.00:

Yesterday morning city police were called to Thayer Lumber, located at 351 Northland Rd. regarding a theft of lumber. It is alleged that a 36-year-old male attended at Thayer Lumber, selected several pieces of building material and left the location without paying for the items. Police located the accused at a residence on Wallace Terrace and arrested him. Scott Erdman, age 36, of 260 Wellington St. W. Apt # 2 is charged with one count of theft under $ 5,000.00, one count of possession of property obtained by crime and one count of breach of probation. He will be appearing in court on Aug.18th at 9:00 am.

Robbery:

Yesterday afternoon at approx. 3:15 pm city police were called to the Churchill Plaza A&P Pharmacy regarding a robbery. Upon arrival officers were informed that a male attended at the pharmacy counter and demanded some prescription drugs. The pharmacist advised the male he needed a prescription. At this time the male showed a knife and threatened the pharmacist. The suspect was given a bottle of prescription drugs and fled. The suspect is described as: Male, white with a tanned complexion, mid 20’s, 6 feet tall stalky build, goatee and possible unshaven as well. Suspect was wearing a lime green hoodie, black checkered pants (possibly pajamas).

Man arrested for failing to appear for prints:

Yesterday morning at approx. 10:45 am city police arrested 20-year-old Ryan Hachey, of 39 Robin St. and charged him with one count of failing to appear for prints. It is alleged that the accused failed to appear at the city police station on July 11th. He will be appearing in court on Aug 18th at 9:00 am.

Man arrested on Warrant:

Yesterday afternoon at approx. 4:40 pm police located a male wanted on several warrants. It is alleged that Stewart Grassie, age 44, of 94 Allard St. Apt # 303 was wanted on five counts of breach of probation. He will be appearing in court on Aug 25th at 9:00 am.

Break and enter:

City police received two reports of break and enter.
A residence in the 800 block of Bonney St. was entered. Cash and coin collections were stolen.
A garage was entered at a residence in the 100 block of Tilley Rd. It is unknown what was taken at this time.

Thefts:

Two more reports of thefts from vehicles were received yesterday.
A vehicle parked in the 100 block of Champagne Dr was entered - cash was taken.
A cell phone was stolen from a vehicle parked in the 100 block of Panoramic Dr.
