Three persons to appear in bail court

Yesterday morning members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service attended in Hamilton, Ontario and arrested a 22-year-old male on several warrants. It is alleged that on October 15th 2009 the accused threatened to kill his ex-girlfriend and then damaged her cell phone. It is further alleged that on October 30th, 2009 the accused was in possession of a prohibited weapon (bear mace) and assaulted a male by spraying it into his face. The victim required medical assistance after being sprayed with the bear mace. The accused is charged with one count of threatening death, one count of mischief, one count of assault with a weapon, one count of possession of a prohibited weapon, one count of using an offensive volatile substance and one count of failing to appear for identification.

Yesterday members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 21-year-old male for assault and breach of an undertaking. It is alleged that yesterday afternoon the accused assaulted his six month child by grabbing and shaking the baby. It is further alleged that the accused was on an undertaking release with conditions to keep the peace and bee good. The accused is charged with one count of assault and two counts of breach of an undertaking.

Last night members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 19-year-old male for assault, choking, threatening, mischief and breach of probation. It is alleged that on July 17th the accused attended at the residence of his common-law-girlfriend and assaulted her by punching, grabbing and throwing her into a door. It is further alleged that the accused choked the victim, when she attempted to flee from him, and that he threatened to kill her. The accused is also alleged to have caused damage to the victim’s residence. At the time of these offences the accused was on probation with conditions to keep the peace. The accused is charged with one count of mischief, one count of threatening death, two counts of assault, one count of breach of probation and one count of overcoming resistance to commission of an offence. Victim received minor injuries and did not require medical attention.

Break and enter

An apartment in the 1000 block of Peoples Rd was entered yesterday. Medication was reported stolen. A residence in the 200 block of Cathcart St. was entered. It is unknown what was taken at this time.

Mischief

A window at a home in the 200 block of Gloucester St. was damaged yesterday.

Thefts

Vehicles were entered in the following locations: The 900 and 1400 blocks of Base Line – cash, electronics and personal identification were stolen. The 2200 block of Second Line W. – electronics were taken. Two residences had vehicles entered in the 600 block of Town Line – cash and electronic were taken. The 100 block of Kent Cres. – Tools were stolen. The 100 block of Great Northern Rd. – electronics were taken.
