SUSPECT IDENTIFIED On Friday, police arrested a male on the Rotary grounds who was accused of looking up the skirt of a female with a video camera.

On Friday, police arrested a male on the Rotary grounds who was accused of looking up the skirt of a female with a video camera. Charged with one count of mischief and one count of obstructing police is John Charles Cooper, age 43, of 1761 Queen Street, East. Cooper will appear in court on August 23rd.



ARRESTED FOR ASSAULT
A 42-year old male will appear in bail court today after City Police received a complaint from a female advising her common law partner had assaulted her yesterday. It is alleged that the accused assaulted the victim by shoving her and repeatedly dragging her around by the hair. The accused was also on a probation order at the time of the offence with terms to keep the peace and be good. He has been charged with one count of assault and one count of breach of probation.


TURNED HIMSELF IN
Yesterday, 28-year old Alvin Waboose of 106-536 Goulais Avenue, went to the City Police Station and turned himself in on an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court. Mr. Waboose had an earlier court date of June 28th in relation to impaired driving charges and a breach of his probation. When Mr. Waboose failed to attend for his court appearance a warrant was issued for his arrest. The accused will appear in bail court this morning.


IMPAIRED DRIVER
Last night around 10 pm, an alert citizen called city police to advise that they were following a possibly impaired driver in the City’s east end. The citizen provided a description of the vehicle and also advised the suspect car had forced another car off the road. Upon stopping the car, officers did indeed find an impaired driver. Terrance Miron, age 51, of 105 Pardee Avenue was charged with impaired driving and failing to provide a breath sample. He will appear in court on August 23rd.


DRUG BUST
Shortly before noon hour yesterday, officers from the Joint Forces Drug Unit executed a search warrant at a residence on Borron Avenue. Officers located approximately 70 grams of cannabis resin, marihuana seeds and various drug paraphernalia. The estimated street value of the narcotics seized is $1400.

James Bolduc, age 21, of 408 Second Line West, and Michael Chevrier, age 22, of 35 Borron Avenue, basement apartment, have both been charged with one count of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking. They will both appear in court on August 23rd.


GENERATOR STOLEN
Yesterday City Police received a report of a theft of a generator. Grey Wall Coating Inc. was doing some work at Blessed Sacrament Church on Cathcart Street and had secured the generator in a construction trailer there for the weekend.

Thieves entered the trailer and made off with a Wacker generator. The generator, model GS5.6, is black in color on top, has a white front, and yellow handles. The serial number is 0087839, the motor is a Honda 11 hp, and the generator is valued at $3700.

PAINTING CANADIAN TIRE
Yesterday city police received 2 reports of mischief being done on McNabb Street. In the first call, garage bay door windows and mobile sheds were spray painted with red and black paint at the Canadian Tire Store at 200 McNabb Street. Shortly after this call, police also received a call of spray painting and graffiti being done to Armando’s Hair Castle at 144 McNabb Street. There are no suspects at this time.


TIRES SLASHED
Yesterday morning Superior Dodge Chrysler Ltd at 311 Trunk Road reported 6 tires on 5 cars had been slashed. The value of replacing the tires is estimated at $1,000.
