Domestic Related Incidents

1) An 18 year old male will appear in bail court today charged with breaching his recognizance of bail. It was ordered that he not communicate with a victim of a previous occurrence. It is alleged that he did this on the 20 February 2009.

2) A 19 year old male will appear in bail court today charged for assaulting his former girlfriend. It is alleged that he slapped her across the face and pushed her over a chair. The victim received non-life threatening injuries.

3) A 23 year old male will appear in bail court today charged with an aggravated assault. The victim did receive serious injuries and is in hospital for treatment.

Property Related Occurrences

City Police investigated two incidents of theft yesterday involving purses being taken from office areas. One incident occurred in the 400 block of Northern Ave. and the other in the 300 block of Bay St. In both cases the culprit entered an area that is not open to the public and removed the purses. If you can, secure your purses or wallet in a lockable device should you leave it un-attended.
