Male Arrested for Break and Enter and Possession of Stolen Property: Officers with the Sault Ste.

Male Arrested for Break and Enter and Possession of Stolen Property: 

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 23 year-old Lynn Anderson of 235 Fourth Line East on the 18th of February and charged him with one count of break and enter a dwelling and one count of possession of property obtained by crime.  It is alleged that on the 10th of December 2011, the accused broke into a residence on Goulais Avenue and stole various items from the victims, including jewelry, an Apple iPod, liquor and a $50 Canadian Tire gift card.  That same day at 10:56 pm the accused was captured on security video filling his truck at the Canadian Tire Gas Bar on Great Northern Road and paying for it with the stolen $50 gift card from the break and enter.  The accused is to appear in bail court this morning. 

Inmate Charged with Assault on Jail Staff at the Algoma Treatment and Remand Centre:

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 20 year-old Tyler St. Germain of no fixed address on the 20th of February and charged him with two counts of assault peace officer.  It is alleged that on the 20th of February the accused, an inmate at the Algoma Treatment and Remand Centre, assaulted two jail guards.  The accused is to appear in bail court this morning. 

Male Arrested for Weapon Related Offenses and Forcible Confinement: 

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 24 year-old John Hill of Room #5-859 Trunk Road on the 18th of February at his residence and charged him with one count of possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose to public, one count of assault with a weapon and one count of forcible confinement.  It is alleged that on the 18th of February at approximately 1 am, police received a complaint from a male that had attended at the residence of the accused around midnight and while there had a handgun pointed at him.  The victim was also briefly held against his will by the accused. The victim was able to flee from the room unharmed and later called police.  Officers searched the room of the accused, located and seized the pellet handgun used in the incident.  The accused is to appear in bail court this morning.

Seven Male Adults Arrested over Weekend in Relation To Domestic Related Incidents: 

Six male adults will be appearing in bail court this morning in relation to domestic related incidents.  In five of the incidents, the accused males were charged with assaulting the female victims. Two were charged for breaching release documents conditions that they were on due to previous domestic related charges.  One of the males was released on a court date of the 28th of March.  

Male Charged with Residence Break and Enter and Possession of Stolen Property:

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 20 year-old Skyler Wright of 13 Ross Street on the 17th of February and charged him with one count of break and enter a dwelling and one count of possession of property obtained by crime.  It is alleged that from the 26th to the 27th of January the accused entered a residence of a person known to him on Fish Hatchery Road and stole a television and some beer.  The accused is to appear in court on the 19th of March.

Street Team Arrest Female in Relation to Marijuana Grow at her Residence:

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Street Team arrested 25 year-old Lynn Macdonald of #1-320 Pim Street on the 13th of February and charged her with one count of production of a controlled drug or substance and one count of possession for the purpose of trafficking in a controlled drug or substance.  It is alleged that when officers were conducting an investigation at the residence of the accused yesterday, they discovered a marijuana grow. Officers seized 13 marijuana plants from a two stage grow operation, 2 grams of marijuana ,23 grams of marijuana shake, lights, fans, plant food and timers. Total value of the drugs seized was $13,043.00.  The accused is to appear in court on the 19th of March.

Update: 

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service Street Team arrested a second person in relation to this investigation.  The other resident, David Maitland, age 36, of #1-320 Pim Street was also charged with one count of production of a controlled drug or substance and one count of possession for the purpose of trafficking in a controlled drug or substance.  He is to appear in court on the 19th of March.
