Male Youth Arrested after Early Morning Break and Enter:

A 17 year-old male youth was arrested at 3:50 am this morning at his east end residence and charged with one count of break, enter and commit, one count of trespassing at night and one count of theft under $5,000.00. It is alleged that on the 9th of December around 2:30 am this morning, city police conducting routine patrol, observed an abandoned four wheeler A.T.V. in the middle of Amber Street. Officers followed fresh tracks in the snow to the rear garage area of a residence on Amber Street and discovered that the garage had been broken into and the A.T.V. had been stolen from it. The Canine Unit was called to assist in searching the area. This accused was tracked to his residence and arrested. Officers believe that another youth was also involved in the break and enter and are continuing the investigation at this time. He is to appear in bail court this morning.

Male Arrested after Stealing Van:

42 year-old Darrell Ojeebah of #2-319 Albert Street East was arrested on the 8th of December at 5:37 pm on Chapple Street and charged with one count of theft over $5,000.00. It is alleged that on the 8th of December at approximately 4:40 pm the accused stole a 1997 Plymouth Voyager van from the parking lot of the Algoma Community Legal Clinic on Queen Street East. The van was located in the parking lot of an apartment complex on Chapple Street approximately one hour later and the accused was located inside one of the apartments and arrested. He is to appear in court on the 19th of January, 2009.

Two Males Arrested on Outstanding Warrants:

1) A 30 year-old male was arrested at his residence on the 8th of August around 3:15 on a domestic related warrant and charged with two counts of breach of probation. He is to appear in bail court this morning.

2) 21 year-old Scott Robinson of #9-864 Queen Street East was s arrested at his residence on the 8th of December at 9:05 am on outstanding warrants and charged with one count of fail to appear court and one count of fail to appear for prints from November. He is to appear in court on the 12th of January, 2009.
