Two Domestic Related Arrests

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 22 year-old male on the 5th of December at 10:52 am at the police station on an outstanding warrant and charged him with one count of criminal harassment and one count of breach of a release document.  The charges are in relation to contacting his ex-girlfriend on the 1st and 2nd of December when he was on an undertaking order with conditions not to communicate with her. 

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 34 year-old male at 5:50 am this morning and charged him with one count of mischief.  It is alleged that at approximately 4:30 am this morning the accused got into a verbal argument with his common law girlfriend at their residence and he smashed the windows of her vehicle.

 

Male Arrested on Numerous Outstanding Warrants

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 21 year-old Michael Gingras of 2820 Mission Road, Goulais River, Ontario on the 5th of December at 1:55 pm at Rome’s Independent Grocers on Great Northern Road and charged him with two counts of theft under $5,000, two counts of fail to attend for prints, one count of fail to appear in court, two counts of breach of probation, two counts of assault peace officer and one count of resist arrest. 

It is alleged that the accused was wanted in relation to several outstanding warrants for shoplifting, breaching his probation orders, failing to report, failing to appear for court and prints and breach of probation.  When officers arrested the accused they discovered several items that he had stolen from the store and when apprehending him, the accused resisted arrest and assaulted two police officers.  The accused is to appear in bail court this morning.
