The Sault Ste Marie Police would like to remind the public that the parade will be taking place at 6pm on December 6th. This is an advanced notice to inform all motorists that there will be no parking on Queen St. from Simpson Street to Gore Street from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on December 6th as the street will be closed to assist city board of works to clear the road way prior to the Santa Claus Parade. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.

MALE FOR BAIL COURT

45 year old Daniel Dodge of 118 Albert Street East has been charged with 2 counts of breaching his release documents. Yesterday afternoon at approximately 5pm the accused was observed by officers walking on St. Andrews Terrace. It was obvious to officers that the accused had been drinking. When the officers checked the male on CPIC he had been released with conditions to notify his change of address and not to consume any alcohol. He was arrested by officers and will be attending bail court today.

MALE ARRESTED IN DOMESTIC RELATED INCIDENT

A 49 year old male has been charged with 1 count of Assault and 1 count of theft under $5000. It is believed that on the 30th of November the accused became involved in a verbal argument with his common law partner where the accused proceeded to push, grab the victim’s hair and punch her. The victim fled the area and called police. The accused was arrested at their west end residence. Police also found a dismantled shed on the property that had been stolen from Lyons a number of weeks ago. The accused will be appearing in bail court this morning. The victim did not suffer life threatening injuries.

FEMALE ARRESTED ON WARRANTS

41 year old Janice Lee Ellen Myers of 169 Caledon Street was arrested yesterday afternoon at about 3pm. She was found on Queen Street and arrested on outstanding warrants. She is scheduled to attend court on the 5th of January.

OTHER INCIDENTS OVER THE LAST 24 HOURS

Over the last 24 hours there were no break and enters, 19 motor vehicle collision and 1 mischief reported on Henrietta street where someone stole 3 decorative candy canes and smashed them.
