One Person Going to Bail Court The only arrest entry for bail court this morning is a 47 year-old male arrested on the 17th of December at 8:19 pm at a his residence and charged with one count of assault causing bodily harm.

The only arrest entry for bail court this morning is a 47 year-old male arrested on the 17th of December at 8:19 pm at a his residence and charged with one count of assault causing bodily harm. It is alleged that the accused assaulted his wife at their residence by punching her in the face several times. The victim attended at the hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Female Charged with Threatening Death

A 17 year-old female was arrested at a west end residence on the 17th of December at 5 pm and charged with two counts of threatened death or bodily harm and two counts of breach of probation under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. It is alleged that on the 17th of December between 11:30 am and 12:30 pm the accused got into a verbal argument with two family members at their residence and threatened to stab one and cut the throat of the other. No weapon was produced. At the time of the incident the accused was on probation to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.

Obstruct Police & Breach

A 15 year-old female was arrested on the 18th of December at 3:05 am on Bruce Street and charged with one count of obstruct peace officer and one count of breach of probation under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. It is alleged that on the 18th of December just before 3 am city police located the accused walking on Bruce Street and when they ran a check on her she provided them with a false name. In further investigation officers determined the accused identity and discovered that she was on probation with curfew conditions to be in her residence between 9 pm and 9 am.

Car Accident on Pim & Wellington

Traffic Services attended at the scene of a collision involving a motor vehicle and pedestrian last evening just before 6 pm at the intersection of Pim Street and Wellington Street East. It is alleged that a 66 year-old female was operating her mobility scooter in an east bound direction along the sidewalk on the north side of Wellington Street East and when she entered the intersection to cross at Pim Street she was struck by a GMC pick up truck that was south bound on Pim Street attempting to make a right hand turn onto Wellington Street East. The 66 year-old female was transported to hospital by ambulance for the treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The 48 year-old driver of the pick up, John Barbeau of #205-634 Connaught was charged with one count of fail to yield to pedestrian under the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario.

There was two break and enters reported yesterday:

1) A residence on North Street was entered sometime between 4 am and 3 pm on the 17th of December. The homeowner advised he was at home asleep with the doors unlocked during the break in. Cigarettes and cash wee reported stolen.

2) A shed on Dennis Street was entered sometime over the past weekend and a snow blower was stolen.

Mischief Reports from yesterday:

Three pick up trucks at Bitonti Motors located at 95 Second Line East were damaged. All the vehicles were scratched on the hood areas and one also had scratches to the passenger fender.
