One Domestic Related Arrest for Bail Court Appearance this Morning Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 38 year-old male on the 12 th of December at 2:25 pm at his residence and charged him with one count of assault.

One Domestic Related Arrest for Bail Court Appearance this Morning

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 38 year-old male on the 12th of December at 2:25 pm at his residence and charged him with one count of assault.  It is alleged that yesterday morning the accused assaulted his girlfriend while she was at his residence.  No injuries were reported.  The accused is to appear in bail court this morning. 

Youth Charged with Assault

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 15 year-old male youth on the 12th of December at 3:50 pm at a local youth centre and charged him with one count of assault.  It is alleged that on the 11th of December at approximately 5:45 pm, while at the youth centre, the accused assaulted another male youth by punching him in the face. The victim received non-life threatening injuries as a result. The accused is to appear in court on the 17th of January 2012. 

Break and Enter/Theft Reports

  • Two businesses in the 300 block of Wellington Street West were broken into sometime between 9:00 pm Sunday night and 8:00 am Monday morning.  Cash was reported stolen.
  • A business in the 100 block of Wellington Street West was broken into sometime between Saturday and 8 am this morning.  Cash was reported stolen.
  • A residence on Spring Street was entered yesterday morning.  A PS3 and games were reported stolen.
  • The Pee Wee Hockey Arena on Northern Avenue was broken into sometime between 2 pm Sunday and 10:30 am Monday.  Cash was reported stolen.
  • A residence on Fourth Line West was entered yesterday.  Cash and jewellery were reported taken.
  • Vehicles were entered on Lennox Avenue and Moody Street.  Identification and change were reported taken.
  • A purse was reported stolen from Walnut Street.
