Twelve persons to appear in bail court
On Friday July 31st members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 38-year-old male on a warrant. It is alleged that Mitchell Cone, age 38, of 282 Second Line W. breached conditions of his conditional sentence release order.

On Friday July 31st members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 35year-old male for assault. It is alleged that the accused male assaulted his common-law-wife by pushing her. Victim did not require medical attention. The accused is charged with one count of assault.

On Saturday August 1st members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 32-year-old male for assault and threatening. It is alleged that on August 1st the accused assaulted his girlfriend by hitting on the head and threatening to kill her. Victim did not require medical attention for her injuries. The accused is charged with one count of assault and one count of threatening death.

On Saturday July 31st members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service attended at the Algoma Treatment and Remand Centre and charged eight (8) inmates with various charges arising from an incident at the detention centre. It is alleged that on Thursday July 29th at approximately 10:00 am eight inmates were unlawfully assembling in an area of the centre. It is further alleged that when the Corrections Officers attempted to disperse them the accused persons assaulted the officers. The following persons have been charged:

1. Trevor Seaton, age 24 is charged with one count of assaulting a peace officer, one count of unlawful assembly and one count of resisting a peace officer.
2. Shaun Mearow, age 28 is charged with one count of assaulting a peace officer, one count of unlawful assembly and one count of resisting a peace officer.
3. Andre Cormier, age 20 is charged with one count of assaulting a peace officer, one count of unlawful assembly and one count of resisting a peace officer.
4. Blake Hudson, age 27 is charged with two counts of assaulting a peace officer, one count of unlawful assembly and one count of resisting a peace officer.
5. Derrick Derasp, age 19, is charged with one count of unlawful assembly, one count of resisting a peace officer and one count of breach of probation.
6. Colin Wallace, age 19, is with one count of unlawful assembly, one count of resisting a peace officer and one count of breach of probation.
7. Andrew Petts, age 19 is charged with two counts of assaulting a peace officer, one count of unlawful assembly, one count of resisting a peace officer and one count of breach of probation.
8. Thomas Agawa, age 18, is charged with one count of assaulting a peace officer, one count of unlawful assembly, one count of resisting a peace officer, three counts of threatening death and one count of breach of probation.
Several correctional officers received minor injuries as a result of this incident. The officers were treated for their injuries.

Break and enter
Break and enters were reported to the following locations:
The 300 block of Albert St. W. unknown what was taken at this time.
The 400 block of John St. - electronics taken.
The 100 block of Terrance Ave. – unknown what was taken.
The 200 block of Bruce St. - unknown what was taken.
The 600 block of Second Line W. - unknown what was taken.
The 200 block of Brown St. - unknown what was taken.
Three break-ins were reported to the 100 block of Ashgrove Ave- electronics, tools and alcohol was taken.
Two attempted break and enters were reported to residences in the 300 block of McGregor Ave and the 100 block of Megginson Dr.

Theft
Vehicles were entered in the following locations:
The 100 block of Bishops Crt – wallet stolen from vehicle
The 100 block of Hugill St. - wallet stolen from vehicle
The 400 block of Bush St. - wallet stolen from vehicle
The 100 block of Greenview Lane- purse stolen from vehicle
The 100 block of Promenade Dr-. wallet stolen from vehicle
The 100 block of Paladin Ave. - wallet stolen from vehicle
The 500 block of Old Goulais bay Rd- wallet stolen from vehicle.
A bike was stolen from the 500 block of Trunk Rd.
Signs were stolen from the Soo North Archery Club in the 100 block of Landslide Rd.

Mischief:
Vehicles were damaged in the following locations:
The 500 block of Placid Ave.
The 100 block of Silver Birch Dr.
The 100 block of Amy St.
The 100 block of Pittsburg Ave
The 100 block of Louise Ave.
The 100 block of River Rd.
The 100 block of Glenholme Ave.
The 100 block of Megginson St.
The 100 block of Sackville Rd.
The 100 block of Northwood St.
A fence was damaged in the 500 block of Placid Ave.
A house was damaged in the 100 block of Burton Rd.
A pool was damaged in the 100 block of Estelle St.

Male arrested for mischief
On Sunday Aug 1st members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 20-year-old male on a charge of mischief. It is alleged at approximately 2:20 am on Aug 1st the accused attended at a residence in the 200 block of Bainbridge St. and damaged several windows and a vehicle at that location. Michael Turmane, age 20, of 367 Langdon Rd. is charged with one count of mischief. Mr. Turmane will be appearing in court on Aug 30th at
9:00 am.

Female arrested for mischief
On Sunday Aug 1st members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 44-year-old female for mischief. It is alleged that on Aug 1st the accused attended at a residence in the 1200 block of Trunk Rd and damaged a door at that location. Linda Porter, age 44, of no fixed address is charged with one count of mischief. She will be appearing in court on September 7th at 9:00 am.

Male arrested for impaired driving
On Saturday July 31st members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 26-year-old male for impaired driving. It is alleged that at approximately 2:00 am on July 31st the accused was operating his vehicle on Wellington St. E. while under the influence of alcohol. Jason Ross, age 26, of 44 Raymond St. is charged with one count of impaired driving and one count of drive over 80mgs. Mr. Ross will be appearing in court on Aug 30th at 9:00 am.

Male arrested for theft under $ 5,000
On Friday July 31st members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested an 18-year-old male for theft under $ 5,000. It is alleged that earlier in the morning the accused was seen going through a vehicle on East Champagne Dr. and taking items from that vehicle. It is further alleged that when he was stopped by police the accused had a quantity of cash and other items taken from the vehicle. Agimah Coghill, age 18, of 64 Adrian Dr is charged with one count of theft under $5,000. Mr. Coghill will be appearing in court on Aug 30th at 9:00 am.
