The following two persons will be appearing in bail court this morning: 1) A 17 year-old male youth was arrested on the 28th of August at 2:20 am on Albert Street East and charged with one count of breach of a release document.
The following two persons will be appearing in bail court this morning:

1) A 17 year-old male youth was arrested on the 28th of August at 2:20 am on Albert Street East and charged with one count of breach of a release document. It is alleged that the male was observed walking with another female youth around 2:15 am this morning walking westbound on Albert Street East and when police ran a check on him they discovered the accused was on release conditions that had a curfew for him to be in his residence between the hours of 10 pm and 6 am daily. Officers ran a check on the 16 year-old female and she was also arrested when they discovered that she was wanted on an outstanding warrant for failing to appear for fingerprints on the 14th of August.

Two People Charged with Outstanding Warrants

1) 29 year-old Charles Walton of #5-110 Breton Road was arrested at 11:00 am on the 27th of August at his residence on an outstanding warrant for failing to appear for court on the 30th of July. He is to appear in court on the 15th of October.

2) 33 year-old Heather Rivers of #301-536A Goulais Avenue was arrested at 11:50 am on the 27th of August at her residence on an outstanding warrant and charged with one count of theft under $5,000.00. She is to appear in court on the 15th of October.

Possession & Production of Drugs

40 year-old Murray Bowerman of 2806 Mission Road in Goulais River, Ontario was arrested at the city police station at 2 pm on the 27th of August after turning himself in and charged with one count of possession of a controlled drug or substance and one count of production of a controlled drug or substance. It is alleged that on the 26th of June 2007 officers from the Sault Ste Marie Police Service and the Joint Forces Drug Unit, which is comprised of members of the OPP Drug Enforcement Section, the Sault Ste Marie Police Service, the RCMP and the OPP North East Region, executed a search warrant at 894 Bonney Street where the accused was living at the time and located 4 marijuana plants growing on the property and more plants were found inside the residence. Approximately 29 marijuana plants were seized. The accused was not at home at the time but did turn himself into police to deal with the charges on the 27th of August. The accused is to appear in court on the 24th of September.

Shoplifting & Assault

A 14 year-old male youth was arrested on the 27th of August at 2:30 pm at Sears in the Station Mall and charged with two counts of theft under $5,000.00 and one count of assault. It is alleged that the accused attended at the Station Mall Sears Store and stole a pair of pants and the International Clothes Store in the Mall and stole a sweater. The accused was apprehended by Mall Security and it is further alleged that the accused punched the Security Guard in the back and face. No injuries were reported at the time. The accused is to appear in court on the 2nd of October.

The following break and enters were reported yesterday:

1) A garage was entered on Gloucester Street sometime after 11 am on the 27th of August. Four cordless drills and three or four butane lighters were reported stolen.

2) The Wizard’s Cuts business on Wellington Street West was entered sometime on the 27th of August. Various hair products were reported stolen.
