Male arrested for failing to appear for court: Yesterday afternoon city police arrested Blaine Cuthbertson, age 48, of Bass Lake, Ontario and charged him with one count of failing to appear for court.

Yesterday afternoon city police arrested Blaine Cuthbertson, age 48, of Bass Lake, Ontario and charged him with one count of failing to appear for court. It is alleged that the accused failed to appear for court on Aug 17th.

Mr. Cuthbertson who, was originally arrested on a charge of possession of a substance, will be appearing in court on Sept 28th at 9:00 am.

Female arrested for possession of prohibited weapon:

Yesterday afternoon at approx. 1:00 pm city police stopped a motor vehicle in the west end of the city on a highway traffic act infraction. Subsequent investigation by police resulted in the arrest of Heather Goodmurphy, age 30, of 63 Foothill Rd. It is alleged that the accused had in her possession two prohibited weapons (Two knives that opened by centrifugal force.) The accused will be appearing in court on Sept 28th at 9:00 am on one count of possession of a prohibited weapon.

Male arrested for failing to appear for identification and breach of probation:

Yesterday morning city police arrested 42-year-old Dwayne Guy, of 7 Trout Lake Rd. and charged him with one count of failing to appear for identification and subsequently two counts of breach of probation. It is alleged that the accused failed to appear for identification purposes on Aug 10th, 2009. At the time of this offence the accused was on probation with conditions to notify city police of any change of address and to keep the peace and be good. Mr. Guy will be appearing in court on Sept 28th at 9:00 am.

City police received four complaints of vehicles being damaged.

Vehicles were damaged at the following locations:
The 100 block of Black Rd.
The 500 block of Second Line E.
The 100 block of Moluch St.
A Lock City Dairy transport was damaged at 938 McNabb St.

Thefts:

Power tools were stolen from a residence in the 100 block of Lorna Dr.
Bicycles were reported stolen from the 100 block of Albert St. W., the 100 block of Bay St. and the 200 block of Bay St.
